Would a D662 bolt up to a B6100? I found a good deal on a good running engine and rather than rebuilding my D650 Maybe I can just do an engine swap? I searched a good while without finding any info on such.

Thanks
Mike

hmmm....... I don't think so. The D650 is part of a different series of engines (650, 750, 850, 950). Pretty sure that means D622 has different block than the D650.

The D622 appears to be part of the series that includes the Z482 Z602 D722 D782 D902 SM-E2B Series Diesel

I was hoping that Kubota used a different engine model number for OEM engine used by various other companies yet the engines were virtually the same. I can already tell some of the components are different between the two such as oil filter location but, Those may be things that can be dealt with I am sure when used to replace the B6100 engine.

Mount holes are different.
Possibly different flywheel spacing.
Oil filter and dynamo.
Water inlets and outlets possibly will have to change radiator.
Throttle control and stop solenoid.
And the real killers hydraulic pump and lines, and oil pan configuration.
So no where close to a bolt in.
if the oil pan doesn't fit your dead in the water right off of the start.

Like coachgeo said, stick with a D650, 750, 850, or 950 as they are the same block.
