I may be out of commission for a bit. Loaded my tractor on the trailer to go do some work for my brother inlaw at his camp. I hopped off the side of the trailer and landed on the edge of a 2x8 and hurt my foot. I will have it x-rayed this week to see if I possibly broke a bone or something. Getting around on crutches at the moment.
Yep, did the same thing when I was building my camp, jumped off the floor to go get some more nails for the nailer, hit an uneven spot and broke my foot in 2 places.

This morning I can actually walk and put some weight on it without too much pain. May not be as bad as I first thought but will still get it checked this week. You know how this stuff happens, brain says you 30 but your body says nope you're 60 dummy.

My wife, daughter and I vacationed not far from your neck of the woods in 2017. Her ancestors were from out that way (Aucoin). Had a great time and hope to go back some day and see the northern portion of the area.

Lol, small world (well ours world), my wife went to school and was friends with a Cathy Aucoin. When and if this world ever gets half normal again and you decide to venture this way again let me know.

Will do. We also met a couple of local Aucoins while we were over there. We visited Halifax around to Digby then went across to St Johns and Quebec but mentioned going back to visit your area so she could go to Aucoin Bakery.

X-Rays showed no broken bones, probably just a sprain. Back walking again since last night, still have some pain but getting better daily. Headed back to camp tomorrow to plant my last plot before some possible rain Thursday and Friday.

Good news on your foot.

I am hoping to get a sawmilling job complete by Thursday and dodge the possible rain but the rain will be good for my seed though.

We are getting a nice rain tonight so my food plots should be turning green soon. Hopefully I will not have an army worm problem. This late planting I should not.

My son is at camp and said we had some good rain last night. All of my plots had sprouted from just ground moisture so they should spring nicely up now.

Looks like the ground moisture did a good job on my planting which was done last Friday. (8 days ago)

This is two different plots with 4"-5" Oats and Wheat. The standing water was from last night's downpour. I'm happy.

Survived yet another hurricane, I hope that was the last one of the season. Missed the camp by a long ways but was close to home this time.

We dodged Zeta here at home but I have not been to the Cabin yet. As far away as we were everything should be OK.

The ground is saturated so it doesn't take much wind to tip a top heavy Oak over.
