BX2670 instrument panel

Going to have to replace the instrument panel($422), water made it's way in this winter and froze damaging the tach needle and panel. Any suggestions on how to clean this connector so I don't end up having to buy a new wiring harness also ($600+).

I've always kept it under a carport but that was damaged this winter and so it had to sit outside.

My BX lives outside year around but I have a 3’x6’ weatherproof tarp that protects it from rain and snow.

After you've cleaned ,dried and confirmed it work 100%, consider using 'dielectric grease' to help keep moisture out of the connector. Same stuff you use for trailer lights. Everybody has a favourite brand of 'grease'.

HI I use white vinegar .put that connector in a cup of it over night .then rince with hose .blow it dry with air compressor blow gun .i do car electronics repairs .and road salt sure screws up under body harnesses .rear camera and tail light problems .once blown dry apply die electric grease

I found vaseline very good. It is used a lot on boats, a very demanding environment for any electrical contact.

It's also GREAT at keeping chrome bumpers perfect during the winter IF you don't go through a carwash.....

   ....and....
