Working on getting geared up for the snow.

Any know if these chains would fit the 26 x 12 x 12 R4 tires on the BX25D?

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005M4B9U...&ascsubtag=6a789cfe4f8af2bcf6183044c433bbbc_S

I see one reviewer on Amazon says they do.....

I measured my tire circumference though and am coming up with around 83" with 20 PSI in the rear.

Description of the chains says only goes to 73" circumference.

I have 2" spacers for the rear on order, so I don't think clearance will be an issue.

looking at the amazon page, second line :

"Please READ ( Note will not fit Tractors or Sub compact tractors Those 26X12x12 are much bigger design )"

I think that is where those 10 extra inches are!

Check out www.tirechains.com they have all kinds of chains to choose from and you can search by your tire size. Also, they will fit properly.

You have to be careful of the reviews on Amazon, many times they are for a similar item but not the exact item you are looking at, most likely the case here as noted it states right in the description that they will not fit.

Hell we havent had enough snow in Pa to worry about chains in 6 years, last big snow was the year I got my BX ,she pushed snow waist deep and never grunted with out chains, though I do have the tires filled and wheel weights

Last year was the first winter I had my bx25d. I had zero issue moving the snow left from that massive storm and drifts that came after with out chains. I believe we had somewhere around 24-30" if I recall correctly. I used 4wd and my machine has the R4s. I used FEL and a 6ft woods blade on the rear for final clean up.

31 years ago I bought my L2250 with a 60 inch rear mount blower. Used the chains first years and ditched them after. Too much damage to the asphalt part of the drive and just a pain on and off. My drive is 1100+ feet long, no problem with Turff tires and 4 wheel drive.
