REPLACING THE 4 HYDRAULIC HOSES OF THE STEERING PUMP
Here's how I did it.
Uncouple the fittings of the steering pump, top picture, located under the dash panel, for hoses 060 and 050. There is an adaptor screwed into the body and the hose screws on to the adaptor. I used a 5/8 and 11/16 open end wrench. It's not necessary to remove the steering wheel or dash.
Looking at the lower picture, after jacking up the front end a few inches, remove nut 080 and use a fork to separate the tie rod end 070 from the wheel. No need to remove the wheels. Next, remove the two 12mm bolts (030) that holds the retainer (100). Do the same on the other side. Now you can pull the cylinder (010) down far enough to unscrew hoses 050 and 060 from the cylinder.
I had to pull the hose bundle in the sheath from the top because the 90 degree fittings at the top couldn't fit through the hole in the frame. Take note of the sheath position and routing of the hoses and especially which hose goes to what wheel and its matching fitting on the steering pump before you remove them.
Install the new hoses inside the sheath and begin at the top and pass them through the hole in the frame. Install the hoses at the top loosely. Then hook up the hose for the left side of the steering cylinder (left wheel) and tighten the fitting. Pass the hose for the right wheel UNDER the left wheel hose and attach to the right side of the cylinder.
Secure the steering cylinder and its brackets and then the tie rod ends. I don't know the torque.
Tighten the hoses under the dashboard.
Start the tractor and slowly rotate the steering wheel left to right to bleed out the lines.
To replace the two hoses that go to the transmission, you first have to remove the two hoses which go to the front wheels.
Block up the very rear frame of the tractor where the 3PH is located. Remove the thin gauge plate that spans the width of the frame. Remove the rear left wheel. Remove the floor pan under the battery which is secured with two 12mm bolts and two plastic screws.
If you look, you will see a clamp holding the bundle tight. Remove the 12mm bolt, nut and clamp. Pull the bundle through the hole in the frame and stretch out straight towards the engine.
Remove the hoses from the front of the transmission and at the left side of the transmission above the rear axle. Install in reverse order.
One note if replacing the 2 hoses to the transmission. The fitting that attaches to the left side of the transmission does not swivel, so don't hook up the hoses under the dash until you've attached the 45 degree fitting. You will need to rotate the hose to align the 45 degree angle.
