My BX2200 went dead while I was using it. Now, it will crank but immediately goes dead. It runs for less than 1 second. Any suggestions as to what steps I need to take?
Thanks!

First question - how many hours (seeing how long it has been since fuel filter has been changed)? Does it indeed have fuel? If so how old is fuel?

Would not think you have a cold climate situation so the gel would not be a problem.

Check the fuel level in the tank - then find the first fuel filter, one before the pump, then check one after the pump. Before the pump is my guess to your problem:)

If it starts and runs when you turn the key to start and then when you go back to run, you probably have a bad ignition switch, stop solenoid relay, or wiring.
The way that system works is that power gets applied to the stop solenoid for a short time when the key goes to off, and when one piece is bad it fails to give the relay a sensor signal thus it tell the solenoid

To verify that this is the issue, put a test light on the stop solenoid, it will light when engaging.

It turned out to be a bad fuse in the wiring leading to the solenoid.
