BX mower deck

So I found a used 54" mower deck (RCK54-23BX). The owners had it for 3 seasons and it's in great condition. Anything I should be looking for? Problem areas?

He's asking $1000 CND. So thats like fifty bucks US . I think it's a pretty good price.

Look at the grease fitting see if it has been greased, check the belt see if it looks like its been cut or damaged. check the blades see it they are bent or broken, make sure you get the drive shaft BOTH halves, scalp wheels, and brackets broken twisted or missing, front roller on mower, front hanging bars to attach to the front of your BX, guards in place over the belt... A good overall view should do you well OH and turn the gear box by hand just to make sure every thing is turning easy.. other wise they are a pretty tuff unit,, oh and pictures we loves our tractor porn

Skeets covered it well - spin everything by hand and look hard for bent places.
That is a 1/3 of what it is new. It is a rather tough piece of steel. The spindles do like a lot of grease - so once home, fill the spindles up!

Great advice guys, thanks. I have to drive 5 hours to pick it up, so it's good to know what to look for.
