Hi,

Does anyone know how often Kubota BX models are refreshed? I've been hanging around for awhile sitting on the fence, but haven't yet purchased a BX. Was curious how often they are redone or features added? I think the 70 series has been around for quite a few years with little improvement.

the '13 year added the D .....and with that, some changes were made.

Just to list a few....

Arm rests for the seat, some say not a big deal, but I love em,

Digital gauges rather than analog

Hole on backhoe for thumb if desired

HST fan guard - small - but better

now as to what the 1 does after 2370.......not sure whats up there......

The BX model numbers are two types

With 4 digit number (BX2370-1) is tractor

With 2 digit number (BX25D) is TLB - tractor, loader, backhoe. The only way to get a BX with Kubota backhoe. My dealer said can only add a 3rd party backhoe to my BX2370-1.

in 4 digit the first 2 is size (roughly HP). last 2 is series. The series numbers go 00, 30, 50, 60, 70 and 70-1

The 2 digit versions are
BX22
BX23
BX24
BX25 - a BX2360 with loader, backhoe
BX25D - a BX2370 with loader, backhoe
BX25D-1 - a BX2370-1 with loader, backhoe

As I explained the differences in the BX25 and the BX25D ................

Tell me what the 1 does behind the newest model 2370 ......

for example the 2370 has this ......and the 2370-1 has this!:)

Most of the time the -1 is a small change in build, like emissions equipment on the motor, or a change in a build or part that they found out they had a problem with on the earlier version. ;)

See post #5 this thread, that pretty much covers it. The biggest change was the "-1" ROPS folds all the way down.

And this is what I was looking for and assumed but did not know for sure,
that the 1 means typically a engine mod - and if this is the case, what did they change?

I do like the "newer" floor mats - what changed in the ROPS? they make it a bit shorter? or fold differently?

My understanding on the rops is its a bit narrower and it folds about 1/4 way down from the top instead of about 1/2 way, and this maybe on the no backhoe models only.

And I like the new floormats too, going to upgrade them this spring.

AS above... the "-1" was a minor update. the "70" is the latest body/loader style... and the -1 changed the ROPS and the floor mat. My personal tractor (BX1870-1) was built during the change over. I have the new ROPS (much nicer) but I have the older floor mat.

Personally... after looking at all the years of Kubota... I don't know if I would hold out on buying one. The changes are generally minor... and if you wait long enough... you will wind up getting a BX with the DPF, and DEF systems. (BS on a tractor if you ask me)

Hello, I purchased about 5 acres of old farm land in a newly developed residential neighborhood. I currently mow 85% of it with a Hustler Zero turn mower. Works great but I've always had intentions of purchasing a Tractor for various projects with one being smoothing out the surface of the land. I'd be able to cut my mowing time in half if the ground was less rough which causes me to have to go slow.

I'm looking at a BX2370-1. Something that'll help with various landscaping projects and also not too heavy on the yard once I smooth everything out and plant actual grass. The dealer has priced the following:
BX2370-1 w/loader $13,000
Landpride BB1248 $575
Landpride QH05 $200

Question: If the BX2370 can handle a rear box blade, has anyone ever utilized a 5 foot soil pulverizer for smoothing out the surface? The property doesn't have huge ruts it's just not smooth. Thoughts?

Thanks
Jake_

For this reason alone..
"you will wind up getting a BX with the DPF, and DEF systems. (BS on a tractor if you ask me)"

I would get one now!!!! And in my opinion this will make the older ones worth a little bit more too;)
