BX 1870 Rattle

I bought a 2014 BX 1870 Kubota a while back, just over 80 hrs on it. Question I have is this.I know all diesel engines rattle to some degree,but would like to know from other Kubota owners if all Kubota's have a loud rattle when running?

Seems like mine has a loud rattle mostly when I first start in up.Seem's to come mostly from the front of the engine compartment.

I will admit - all rattle - but the rattling should have a distinct rattle, not like something is loose. Check motor mounts - when engine is cold, pull on several parts and see if you can find something loose. Also - a fuel additive will help with the rattle sometimes too, make the engine run smoother.

Mine sounds a little 'ratty' on low idle. Once the throttle is bumped up a couple hundred rpm's, it is noticeably smoother.

Thanks for the input guys, Ramos, thats exactly how mine is. Bump the throttle just above idle and it does quite down some.

Same with mine, been that way since I got it new from the dealer, figured it was just the way a diesel ran. I just keep my "idle" RPM around 1900, anything less and I get the rattle.
