Besides spraying my chute with Pam, I pull the tractor and blower outside and let it reach the outside temperature before I start. A warm chute will build up ice and clog.

Not with a compact, but rather a single stage garden tractor, I had good luck with a product called slip plate. It came in a spray can and it was a graphite spray and worked very well.

I had a Bervac on my 1980 B7100 & at 540 RPM it worked like crap! The 2nd stage had only 3 blades on the impeller vs. 4, & they might have been worn down at the tips. To really throw snow I used the 2nd PTO speed (750,800 RPM?), & it worked great. Only downside was at that PTO speed, I had to release the clutch easily - If clutch engaged too quickly it would snap the shear pin. My buddy (who I bought the tractor from) had the same blower & uses it on his newer Kioti @ 540 RPM - same deal, works poor.

That's really getting up there on the rpm's. With my L3800 @ 540 it has no problem throwing snow. Maybe just the blower? Also when you ingage the pto I keep my tractor at an idle and then after it's ingaged I turn up the rpm's...never had a problem with shear pins.

Walmart has a Spray Silicone, very cheap in the red and white can, this stuff works great for keeping the slush flying... I spray down into the chute as the tractor is warming up.

Any tractor supply store will have a spray-on material that is non-stick. I believe I found mine in the same aisle as the paint, and with that stuff, I don't have to re-apply each time. Once a season is enough. I believe it comes in a green can....
