I done it this time. I got a giant 1/2" sticker or wood chunk stuck in my rear filled tire. What do you guys do to fix a hole this big?

I have had holes before and just put a plug in them. I don't think a plug will work on this but who knows? Do I put a tube in or is it time to get a new tire? I got work to do and this sucks...

Please let me know how you guys deal with this issue.

thanks

Definitely repairable. Reinforced boot, uncured rubber, A-B compound with mesh, etc. I made a big homemade c-clamp from 2x2 square tubing for large repairs like this. Many YouTube videos on this kind of repair.

Thanks guys! I drained off the fluid to a big trash can and took the wheel/tire to my local tire shop. They patched it from the inside and were super cool about it. Got it back and put the fluid back in and so far it's been fine. I am glad I don't have a "big" tractor :)

Too late for this repair, but I bought a B7100 that I though had a similar problem. Looked like the previous owner went over a carriage bolt and it punctured the tire even though it still held air. After I got the tractor back together I bought a set of tires from a member here. That was three years ago. Those new tires I bought from the member are still in the box I received them in!

This was a front tire. When I broke the tire down to switch them the carriage bolt had a flat washer and a nut on the inside. I just re-assembled the tire. It still holds air.

On an ag tire, I probably would have done the same thing if it wasn't leaking.;)
