BH65 for my B2620 quote & counter offer...

Good morning...

Yesterday I received from my Kubota dealer a quote of $7300 for a brand new BH65 backhoe, 12" bucket, all inclusive and dealer installed. My counter to that was $7000 and they perform a full HST/hydraulic fluid change including whatever filters are necessary and an oil change and filter.

Wanted to get some thoughts and opinions from the team here on OTT site!!!

Good luck, most dealers won't budge on prices, but you are only pushing for about $600 difference.
Note the first service on a new unit is the cheap one, second is the killer!

You might get them to throw in the service you're asking for, but I'd be surprised if they both came down in price and performed the service.

Yea, they make an offer, you make a counter-offer. If they come back with anything different from their original, it will probably be between yours and theirs. Either the price difference or the fluids, not both.

Just the nature of horse trading, I mean sales!

Update:

BH65 backhoe all inclusive and BH1976 mechanical (manual) thumb installed plus SUDT fluid and filters thrown in for me to perform fluid change: $7600 for the total package.

Deal done...

Not at all Wolfman. I actually forgot to include the mechanical thumb so the $7300 counter was without the thumb and they do the SUDT fluid and filter change. I added the thumb and they gave me the supplies w/o the labor for $300 more, or $7600...so not a bad deal in my opinion. All about compromise.

As long as you are happy then it was a good deal

If that includes the sub frame, hydraulic lines and rotating seat, I would call that a good deal. And don't forget taxes.

Yes, the deal is for the backhoe completely installed; all inclusive...(minus tax of course)...
