Just broke this in today, it's much dirtier now. I moved a piano with it, added and graded some dirt and gravel to an entrance to my pasture, and dug a rock out of my driveway. The backhoe might end up being an expensive ballast, but i will use it.
Honestly, might have a different tractor if it wasn't for this forum.
Thanks for sharing all your knowledge here!

Thanks Hokie!

I am waiting on a box blade and looking at grapples (and every other implement!)

I started a social group for this size range of tractors (40-60hp), hoping to share implement ideas and prices.

Which end of the tractor did you move the piano with? Or did you smash it with one and load with the other?

That's what I figured. There is no good way to move a piano with anything (and get it there in usable condition) using farming equipment!!!!

What size tractor did you first start looking at?
@teg, BX23s then an L33 then an L47 then an MX4800. Now i wonder if i should have got an MX5800.
When the tractor was unloaded and the driver pulled off, i had an imediate sence of buyers remorse...it's a big purchase for us. As soon as i started using it and tackling tasks ive been waiting on, the feeling quickly went away. I farmed Christmas trees most of my life and the last tractor i had was an old Ford 5000. Putzing around on 70 acres here so i have lots of work for it.

@D2Cat was able to move the piano unscathed from the garage to the barn, using ropes and the loader. precariuos for sure. I need some hooks for the bucket.

Guess so - that's my old stompin' grounds!

I graduated from Homer, and worked in Cortland years ago.

Twin daughters are Cornell grads.

Very happy MX5100 owner. HOWEVER, isn't it funny how easy it is to get tractor envy!!! I think that MX5800 would be a BEAST!! However, I really like the "no regen" on my little MX, and the wife would absolutely KILL me if I wanted to do a tractor swap!!

Your little ride is a fine tractor!!
