Hello, I own a 1986 B8200DT 4WD that is Gear Driven. I've always wanted a Hydrostatic Trans, and can pick up a complete unit from the same year B9200 for pretty cheap. First, will the B9200 Hydro Fit/Work/Bolt Up? Second, is/are there any other parts that I might need to compete the conversion? The unit I am looking at comes complete with Hydro Pedal, Brake Levers, Mid Mount PTO, all Lines, Filter, etc. It looks complete from my point of view. Thanks in advance for your replies. Attached is an image of the unit I am looking at...

It looks like some of the parts are different, just not sure they would matter.

If you go to Kubota.com and look between the 3 different tractors, compare all the different parts, I did and it shows several small differences.

Off the top of my head possible issues are going to be floor boards, hydraulic piping, propeller shaft hook up for the front drive, steering box attachment, among others. ;)

I put odds at that it's doable, but not a simple plug and play. It would help if you know someone, close, who has a B8200 Hydro to use for references. Is the hydro unit from close to the same year tractor as your current B8200? That's another factor, as things change over time.

The B9200 is a longer tractor then the B8200, if I remember correctly. This may cause additional challenges with fitting lines.
