Do you mean swap one full case out with another full case or do you mean just replace the external case and put the old internal parts in that case?

You need to be very specific in your verbiage, there are mutiple "cases" in the rear end on that tractor.

How difficult would you say changing out trans case would be. I do mechanical work, but not on tractors.
If you do mechanical work your good to go. All the bearings are slip fit in the case. Bearings are light pressed on shafts. Take lots of pictures as you go. You'll have to remove brake rods, diff lock rod, hydraulic lines and some electrical and then split it where the tunnel connects to the hydrostat. Remove hydrostat and 3 point cylinder cover then you can remove the transmission and swap internal parts. Could be done in a day but easily a weekend project. Order seals and gaskets ahead of time of course.

I won’t start until I have everything I will need or may need and I’m going to study ony. It for a bit there is no rush and I don’t want to do it twice is there anything I. Need to check when it’s apart while I’m there

The pto coupling pin came apart and coupling knocked hole in case
