B8200 hst d trans case

How difficult would you say changing out trans case would be. I do mechanical work, but not on tractors.

Do you mean swap one full case out with another full case or do you mean just replace the external case and put the old internal parts in that case?

I would like to just replace the case but I may have to replace the entire assembly

You need to be very specific in your verbiage, there are mutiple "cases" in the rear end on that tractor.
