We bought my wife's grandfather's home when he passed. It has a decent amount of property and the house came with a b7500 which has the HST and LA272 bucket. He kept really good care of his belongings but some things were not maintained the best the final years of his life.
When we got settled I did the normal maintenance things on the tractor. Engine oil, HST oil change, etc. It was a few years and over 100 hours since this was done.
Tractor operated flawlessly for about 10 months. Just this weekend though, I was slowly going down a hill on the tractor, not hauling anything, I heard a click and the tractor just picked up speed. When it came to a stop, the HST pedal had no resistance and the tractor would not move. I was in 4x4 when this happened and now neither 4x4 or 2x4 work.
I am very handy at fixing things, im just not the best at diagnosis the problem. Any tips on where to start? HST has fluid and when I changed the fluid there was no metal shaving in it. The fluid I used was Kubota brand from the dealer. The hydraulics work perfectly fine too. There are no leaks.
