Hi everyone. New to this group but I have really enjoyed reading what has already been posted. Thank you!

Okay here's my issue. I recently picked up a B7200HST-D with a FEL. I am looking for a decent/cheap box blade, but after looking around I feel the tractor could handle a 4' a lot better than a 5'; but my tractor width is larger than 4'. I guess what I'm asking is can I run a 5' efficiently to grade my driveway? I know I'm asking a lot out of a small tractor just wondering if someone has done the same?

If you are not going to engage the ground in a deep manner, the 5' might work.

I used a 4' last weekend behind my B7100 - in certain conditions it would spin in two wheel drive and then bog the tractor down in 4wd.

5' is 25% larger than that of a 4' er. That amount of engagement will be noticed! It really depends on the application - moving piled dirt or gravel it might be fine, cutting into packed soil........might not be so good!;):)

Thanks 85Hokie.

I decided to go with a 4 foot and live with the few inches of overage on each side. I hate the idea of not being able to use the blade to its full extent.

The only problem I see is that now your tires will be in the soft ground you just dug up

By now you have probably bought a 4 footer,
but,Land Pride box blade BB05 and BB12 series both have a 54 inch box available.
that might cover your tire width. models BB0554 and BB1254
