My B7200 is stuck in 4WD and it will not move! Is there a trick to get it out of 4WD? Just got the machine so I'm still trying to get everything figured out.

Being "stuck" in 4wd won't make it non moveable, it would just make it power all 4 tires. Explain in greater detail what the complete problem is.

Sorry, I meant the 4WD lever will not move. The tractor moves just fine but I can not move the lever out of 4WD and into 2WD. There are no weird noises or grinding. Tractor is not HST.

Try backing up while putting pressure on the 4 wd shift lever. If you have a front loader use it to lift the front tires off the ground then try to shift out of 4 wheel drive. If no loader jack up the front wheels. Have you had the tractor in 2 wheel drive at all since you have owned it. I bought a B7100 a few years back that had sat outside. It must never have been in 2 wheel because it took much squirting of penetrating oil and much back and forth movement of the shift lever to get it into 2 wheel drive.

I have only owned it for a few weeks and I have not had it in 2WD. I tried backing up and disengaging the 4WD with no luck. I will get the front end jacked up to see if that does it. Any other ideas?

I assume the B7200 is similar to a B7100. Find the spot where the shifter lever enters the transmission case. Spray liberally with your favorite penetrating oil. I prefer PB blaster. Let it soak for a while then wiggle the lever. Don't force it. Repeat the procedure a couple of times a day for a few days. It should loosen up.

That was it. The detent bearing needed a little oil. Thanks everyone.
