Hey Guys greetings this is my first post and I'm a first time tractor owner. I picked up a B7100HST-D with FEL and Box Blade for $2500! (I thought was a good price?)

It's not the prettiest but everything seems to be in working order. Starts easy, no smoke, no blow-by, 2500hours.

One question I had. When I drove it the owner said it was HST so it only had one gear and full time 4WD.

Seemed odd but, it drove well. Once I got it home and got to looking closer. I think it's missing the Hi/Lo lever and has been just run in 4wd low.

I haven't tried shifting in and out of 4wd but wondering if you guys could give me any tips. Things to look for and perhaps a lead on a replacement lever for the hi/low range selector.

It's also missing the "cruise" control feature I've seen many have.

HST is infinite. It has a high, neutral, and low range.

Do you know where I can find the lever?
Sorry I was possibly incorrect in my statement. There are a few versions of “B7100HST” that you can look at illustrated parts lists of at this site. See “speed change” sections but they only call them LEVERS.

There is only a high/low lever on the NEW version, there are more levers on the OLD version.
Versions are different by serial number and 2WD v 4WD. I looked at OLD but you may have NEW?

There may be some manual for download here (free but they like donations. Be careful of pop ups that charge for the manual while there)

Ok, first off, how many bolts holding the front wheels on? Four bolts indicates it is an older version, 6 bolts are the newer flavour. Another clue is how many PTO speeds are available. Newer models only have two PTO engagements -- rearward for rear only, 540 rpm, forward to engage both rear (at higher speed) and forward-facing simultaneously. Older versions have a 3 speed rear PTO only. Older models may also have a decompression knob on the dash.

The "cruise control" is a dangerous flaw. You are better off without it, IMHO. It is simply a cam that holds down the forward pedal.

Shifting in and out of 4wd is not complicated. With the tractor at a stop on level ground so there is no strain on the gears, move the lever. Up for 2wd, down for 4wd. Same basic advice for when and if you find a range lever.

I do have to wonder why the range lever is missing. They don't generally fall off on their own (although anything is possible). Be prepared to find the other range is damaged.

The lever is part number 66204 42510 but shown as No Longer Available so you'll probably have to find it used. These guys claim to have it: https://www.wengers.com/aux-speed-lever-6620442510.html. The knob is still supposedly available as part 54201 23270. The lever is secured to the shaft with a spring pin, 05411 00630 for a pack of 10.
