working on the hydraulic system on my b7100 manual, it has a front hydro pump driven by the front crank, was looking at getting an new or upgraded pump for it ( moving slow, less responsive), hard to find nay lit on this pump, however looking into my unit i noticed that i have an hydraulic pump on the engine located where the HST would be mounted. Never thought about it before but this runs the rear lift. There is no place to check fluid level for this pump?, the crank driven pump reservoir is located in the FEL post and is not tied into the engine mount system at all. Can someone help me understand how this system works? totally blinded by my lack of knowlege on how this works??

The engine (side) mounted pump draws fluid from the transmission sump, and returns it to the same transmission sump. The fluid level is checked when you check the transmission fluid level.

The front engine mount pump is totally separate (from your description) from the standard tractor hydraulic system. That was done because it is the simplest way to provide fluid to a separate pump for an add on implement.

The FEL could be powered from the same side mounted pump as the standard hydraulic system but it would (probably) be slower in operation speed.

If the FEL is an aftermarket brand you can get information from that vendor about the pump if they are still in existence. If it was a Kubota branded FEL you can search for the original pump part number here
But you need the FEL model number

So i guess i will find find out how it response because i just changed out trans fluid with lucas 80/90 as it says you can use 80/90 in trans - would think it would slow it down a lot, I did think about hooking the FEL to the engine mount to see if it would perform any differenty, the crank mounted one is a cesna pump and i told my airplane pilot that i could keep up to him on his little censa. It says from lit. that it is about the same spec as engine mount

No "probably" about it. The stock B7100 pump is 3USGPM. The FEL pump is likely somewhere between 5 and 10.

The front pump ran off the crank by a rod and then connected to a dual chain to connect to pump. Part # is Cesna # 24205-20 for those looking for one, still out there if you have that kind of money, Hydraulic.net said they still have them but will set you back about $600.00. I am broke and cheap but to broke to be cheap, found one that will work off e-bay but would have to probably connect together with a rubber disc set up. Just some info because i could not find any info on the pump for the gear drive Kabota's . Thanks for the info from you guys

I guess will i am asking question to people that know stuff. Do we know if there is a in-line filter for the engine mount pump system on The B7100d , is it like the 6100 and you take the pipes off to get to it or them?

On the front mounted pump that drives the FEL, the filter is in the suction line at the bottom of the FEL tower.

For the engine (side) mounted pump there is a screen on the suction line. I believe it is what looks like a bolt head holding the rear of the line to the transmission case. Unscrew that and the filter is attached to that bolt head. But you will drain out all of the fluid if you remove it before draining the transmission.

If you want the original style, it might be worth contacting White House Products in the UK. They show one in their catalog, unfortunately out of stock at the moment. But their prices are generally very reasonable even with shipping and quality is excellent.

I'm not sure what tariffs might apply though. That could bump the price significantly.

UK tarrifs vary by hour of the day and whim but I recently priced some Faster parts I could not get domestically. The surcharge was just about 40% and I passed because of it.

I just saw a 12v hydraulic pump assy on vevo it was 3000 psi I believe first thought was could it be used for a front hydraulic supply

The pump may be capable of generating 3000 psi, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea for your application. Aside from the pressure ratings of the other components in the system, the engine may stall if it can't produce the required horsepower.

You can still use that pump; simply set the relief valve to the lowest common denominator.
