I'm going to look at a B6100hst tomorrow. When I spoke to the seller, he told me that he has the mid mount mower that ce with it, but he's lost the PTO shaft. Is this something that is readily available, and what is a ballpark price?

Assuming I buy it tomorrow, I will get spline count and part numbers on the mower, I'm just looking for general info before I meet him.

What is the model of the mower? I was on a site the other day looking and the PTO shafts were listed....and prices.....

take a sharpie and count the splines on the pto and the deck and report back, with the model number of the deck.....

and I would tell him that he is an idiot to lose the shaft!(under your breath) Tell him to look harder! How in the hell do you lose that chunk of steel?:p

Would be a MR4800 mower, and here's the PTO shaft.
KU / Kubota 70721-32010

DRIVESHAFT**
$559.28

So I would deduct $600 right off the top, and $400 more for being stupid.

It's an RC48-62 deck.

You're right, I'm certainly not dropping $600 on a new shaft. Not when I can pick up a used rear mower or deck for less than that.

Looks like the next quest is to find some 10 spline yokes and see what I can fab.
