Hey all I've been on here several times regarding this beast. I'm still struggling with how to investigate why my front differential isn't driving the front wheels. I know the output shaft from the transmission is working up to the front shaft goung into the front differential. Tat seems to be where the power stops. I've disconnected the pto shaft at the front differential. I can spin the shaft by hand freely no restriction (front wheels off the ground) when I rotate the right front tire i can see the front differential shaft turn but when I turn the shaft by hand there's nothing. I've remove the 3 bolts holding the pinion shaft into the front differential and gently tried to loosen the housing but it doesn't seem to want to budge. In order to easily work in this vs whole under tge tractor ( not much room to work/move) i kay have to drop the entire front axle assembly abd drag it out front under the tractor.
I'm k8nda wanting to know what could possibly stop the pinion shaft from connecting to the differential ring gear. If I could easily remove this pinion shaft housing I might he able to see what's gone wrong.
Thsx in advance for information.
I haven't posted about this for some time as I've not had the time to investigate further.

Thanks Wolfman for the diagram and reply. I unbolted the three bolts holding the pinion assembly. Is the housing somewhat pressed in I can see from the diagram thr bearings etc may be pressed in or onto the shaft but that triangle housing the pinion didn't was to come loose. I wasn't being to aggressive with it using a punch or chilled to try and dislodge the housing. I was contemplating dropping the entire front axle to make it a bit easier, however that axle pivot bolt and nut doesn't look very easy to remove. How difficult is it to disassemble the open side of the differential and axle assembly to view inside the differential?

If i was working on it I would just pull the axle from under it.
You'll need to drop the frame from the engine to get the bolt out.

No parts are pressed in, it's probably just stuck.
