B3030 Fuel Leak

Drove the B3030 around for a few minutes this evening and parked it back in the garage. Came back out half an hour later and heard a drip drip drip... turns out there is fuel dripping from the bottom of the fuel filter.

As best I can tell, it's coming from the fuel filter housing. There is nothing wet above it and none of the lines look wet. I was able to hand tighten the filter housing maybe 1/8 turn tighter, but that did not stop the dripping.

I changed the filter a few months back and have used the machine probably 30+ times and 30+ hours since.

Right now it's drip drip dripping back into a 5 gallon gas can. Any ideas where to start looking?

Maybe the filter is loose or maybe the cold weather has made the seal shrink. You know cold temps and shrinkage go together.

Start with the simple fix and go from there.

Most likely either the housing is cracked or the O-ring is missing, misaligned, or damaged.

X2 on Wolfman's point. I have changed lots of those 3030 filters and the little insert is supposed to have an O ring on the innermost hole as well as at the outside of the filter housing where it meets the filter insert. I have seen those missing as well as doubled up. If I recall, your fuel should shut off when you remove that housing. Unscrew it, check the filter and especially the housing for extra or missing o rings.
