Hello, i am new to this . i have a B2620 that i added a 60 inch mid mount mower deck and for the life of me i can not lower the deck with out if dropping all the way down. I try to lower it to 3.75 inches and the turn knob (adjustment knob) that sets the height adjustment will spin freely as soon as the mower deck starts to engage the cam to the set position. Is there a quick fix to this? i am at my witts end with the damn thing.

Not sure i fully grasp it, but are you saying it spins freely when the pto lever is lowered?
I have a BX MMM, looks the same ish parts wise.
My adjustment knob spins freely when the PTO is raised fully, you adjust it to where you want, then lower it and see. If not right, raise it back up and rinse /repeat.
