b2620 mid mount mower deck

Hello, i am new to this . i have a B2620 that i added a 60 inch mid mount mower deck and for the life of me i can not lower the deck with out if dropping all the way down. I try to lower it to 3.75 inches and the turn knob (adjustment knob) that sets the height adjustment will spin freely as soon as the mower deck starts to engage the cam to the set position. Is there a quick fix to this? i am at my witts end with the damn thing.

I’d check the adjustment knob and cam linkage first to make sure everything is engaging properly. If the knob spins freely as soon as the deck starts lowering, something may be slipping or not seated correctly. Hopefully it’s a simple adjustment rather than a broken part.
