Does anyone run chains on this tractor without wheel extenders.
I have the 12-16.5 R4s on the rear and there is slightly less than 2 in of clearance between the sidewall and the fender. Tires are not loaded. My dealer is no help. Kubota says we don't sell chains, check with a chain vendor. Chain vendor says give them a bunch of measurements and maybe they can make a chain that will fit.
I expect this is a pretty popular tractor and someone must run chains in the winter without extenders.
Help!

That's where I was looking. They tell me that I don't have the clearance for the recommended 3/8 chain for my tires.
I was hoping someone on the forum with my set-up has a chain that works. I would order that same chain. Even a truck chain with smaller links would help. To my knowledge they don't make smaller link chains to fit my tires.

Joey, Your tires 12-16.5 R4 at Miller Tire have a Dia, of 32.7" and Width of 12.2"
My tires (B2620) are 33-12.5x15 turf with a Dia. of 33.8" with of 12.8" and are very close.
I use Peerless truck chains #322930 with no problems with clearance.
Just bought a second set to make up a set of 2 link.
Bought though Walmart for @65.00 shipped to house, but I just checked and they are out of stock.

Try this place. I have a set like this on my B2920 with the 33x12.5-15 turf tires and they fit fine and work good. They are basically a glorified garden tractor tire chain so the chain links aren't as heavy as the ones from Tirechain.com, which makes them fit better in the tight space. Mine are the 2 link and work well. They stay on well and are fairly easy to put on and take off.

After a lot of research and thought, maybe spacers are the way to go. Should be able to install them myself.
that should improve stability and get my clearance
