my b20 loader and backhoe quit working, mechanic said it's in the hydraulic block. $600 in parts and still nothing. tractor drives forward and reverse, steering is not like it should be . 3 pt. lift arms work. troubleshooting in manuel says it could be clogged filter, changed all fluids and filters, still no difference. now everyone is pointing to the pump, any advice. tired of changing expensive parts yielding no results

You have an issue with the front gear pump, it runs loader, steering, and BH, the rear gear pump runs the three point.
Could be a simple bad suction line connection or leak or it could be more complicated.

I had that problem with a B-20. It turned out to be some fiber discs that connect the pump to the engine. If it all stopped suddenly, this may be your problem. I hope it is. 20 years ago, those discs were stupid expensive considering what they are. As I recall, they were over $100.00.
