Hey all, I was looking, and Im sure its here, for a thread on using your bucket to lift the front of your tractor to clean the MMM after use. Anyone do this on a regular basis? Or is this not a good idea?

It’s no problem at all. I would just suggest using some jack stands or blocks under the wheels. As bleed down occurs in most tractors.

I do the same for jacking the front end if I need to do something with the front tires :D like others stated, use jack stands for safety :D

Unless you set it on something, flat won't lift it much, if any, I dump it.

See, I did that yesterday. wound up digging a grove in my garage floor with the bucket rolled all the way forward, hence I figured I did something wrong....sorry, I'm a newbie

You could put a piece of rubber or something down to protect your floor.

Hockeystewey, at least your asking questions to find answers instead of guessing and maybe getting hurt. And if you think about it, no other way to start doing something except to be a "newbie"!:D

That is so true Dcat, I think I am three year newbie because I am always discovering new things with the tractor and on this forum :)

Put a couple sticks of wood, preferably hardwood down to roll the bucket back on.
Another couple trick is put the transmission in neutral, or another trick is to ease the HST pedal forward while it's rolling the bucket.
