Hi guys,
I have seen a few posts regarding how to bend a smile out of a bucket but mines got a few more bits that are beyond my capabilities. Is there anyone in Melbourne that would be able to straighten this for me. I know noone down here. There is a angle/peaked top inside the bucket thats been kinked by PO and a big crack along the outside of the edge of the bucket. Or is it going to be better to scrap it and get a whole new 4in1?

That section can be removed and pressed back into submission. Or ram a tree as wolfman suggested. It will a take a bit, best to bump and check then increase bump til you get it to move.
The clam type bucket will be easier to straighten then a regular bucket.

What I would do is with the bucket off turn it over. Then if you have a good hydraulic jack and a good chain. Hook the chain around the side's of the bucket and over top of the jack. The chain is your fixed point of the press, then use the jack to press down on the bent area. You have more control of what your doing by using the jack as a press.Of course the dent that's in there it can be straightened out with a good sledge hammer.

Thanks tj, I see its not a joke now and will give that a 'bash' [emoji16] tomorrow. Thought I'd break something else bad if i did do that.

Wouldnt have a clue as to what the FEL model is by chance all-knowlegable-wolf?

I would suggest a bigger jack, not just for capacity, but one with a larger base and ram. Less chance of chain slipping off and jack flipping out from the chain. A small block of wood will lessen chances of jack slipping on steel on steel.

may suggest you procced with caution, you dont want to be in the path of a bottle jack that become a projectile.

If you have a torch you can heat it on the bottom (bowed out side) as you pull it with the chain and jack.

The loader is not a stock Kubota loader, it seams to be common for these grey market models, very few had a loader.
Yes I was serious about opening it up and running it into a tree (lightly at first).
Yes you could put a jack under it and try and jack it up to get the bow out, another option is to put a bar or board in the open clam, close it, and drop the loader on the bar to bend the lip up.

THANKS Wolf! After a few different sized big trees and a bit of courage I got it back to very close! Only a slight gap from the rams not able to close that smidge more (i doubt there is limiters in rams i could adjust?) as theres a tad slop in the pins in the hinge. Anyway I'm super stoked. This tractor has been the best investment ever
