I'd appreciate any advice on buying a box grader for my B6000. Weight and width seem to be the key variables. How big a box can my tractor handle? I'm on mostly light sandy soil, but am interested in re-topping my gravel driveway.

I'm not sure on the width, I think it's 48".
You can get one threw Big R for a fairly decent price.

Big R can order one of the smaller ones, they are compact XP models.
They just don't normally stock them.
They have catalogs for all the tractor accessories that they carry or can order.

48" is all it can handle.
There seem to be two groups of 48" units: one heavy, one light. Do you think my B6000 can handle the standard (heavy) unit? For example, the Landpride unit advises a minimum of 17 hp; mine is 11 hp.

For a B6000 I would go with the lighter of the 2.
To heavy and your not going to be able to work it properly.

I pull a King Kutter 4ft with my B6100, which is pretty much the same tractor. Sometimes it seems like its just right other times I feel like I could pull a bigger one. Over all I'm happy with it.
