Any chance of turning the tractor around and backing up the slope?
With the hog over the rear and the shifted weight to the front it may have helped. I know from life experiences that there have been many times I have been able to back out of being stuck but have no chance going forward. Maybe a bucked of 'something' to help with the front. OH....and get a winch.

LMAO.... flatlander... ha ha..

skeets: no my Pennsylvania neighbor.. im not in the flatlands.... those guys are north of me a good bit. still in the hills at the foot of the mountains... right on the WVa border in southern Ohio.

MObound: yes that was how i was taught on the farm when we had a big tractor was to bushhog backwards up the hill.... seems my little toy doesnt have enough HP to do that on this long of a crawl. :-(

EIPO: YES was gonna put them on at the woods edge & take em back off when done.

this site really is a great place to learn & talk about the toys.

You have 4WD and a differential lock but it looks like you are missing one key item......dry weather. V-bar tires and chains are only going to help you tear up the ground and make a mess. Put a log on the fire and let mother nature work for you!

I'm going against the grain and would suggest more agressive tires, not chains. After a year or two, putting chains on and off will get real old. And, you often find yourself in a situation needing more traction, too late. You didn't anticipate, and don't have the option of putting chains on.
I put R1's and agressive ATV tires on my B7100, using the factory rims. I spent about $700 doing it, and never looked back. It would go most anywhere, and I didn't tear my yard up mowing.

as always want to state this again:

this forum is jsut absolutely awesome for a small hobby/toy based user. the people here are top notch with great advice, info & friendship.

now back to the thread:

SKEETS: of course i can take a joke! we have the "bungles & the browns" in this state. :-0

Valley ViKing: yeah ive been waiting for dryer weather... but its just so hard to have a toy like this & nto get to go play with it... theres just such a difference in doing this for FUN vs guys who have to do this as their "WORK"..

Hodge: that is a really nice looking 7100! & those tires are killer.
had thought of going to different tires, but like you said didnt wanna tear up the yard.. so i did grab those 2link v bar chains.

as you mentioned... already decided im not gonna use the front ones! from what ive found on the little farm so far, that one side is the only place im gonna need the chains when its wet/muddy, everywhere else ive been able to go in 4 low.

for everyone else: im seriously gonna try to take my wife up on her statement of: "you need a little bigger tractor" & move into a 23 or 26 series.

but that has to wait until cash allows it... then for sure i'll put this barely used 7200 up here for sale first if it doesnt get traded in. :D
