Trying to troubleshoot reason my 3 point on my L175 bleeds down even with the motor running. Checked my manual, but it's not much on trouble shooting.
I'm very familiar with the hydraulics on my 640 Ford, but not so much on the K.

Here's the story. This problem just started. I have a 480lb. counter weight on it, so that has a lot to do with what's happening. The FEL doesn't bleed down, and it lifts a load with no problem, so that tells me it's not a pump problem, so it's an isolated problem with the lift piston. There is no problem lifting, it just bleeds down once it comes up no matter what height it stops at. Wonder what else such as a check valve not seating causing the problem.
Another thing. If I lift it all the way up, shut the motor off pull the lever back like I'm going to raise it, it lowers.
The valve under the seat that controls rate of descent seems to working as it should.

More than likely the rockshaft piston seal has failed and needs replaced. I think seal can be accessed by removing cylinder cover.

Raise the three point, turn the speed valve to stop and does it still drop?

Then most likely you have bad rings on the lift piston, but while your in there rebuild the valve too.;)

Will do, got a good source for the valve parts?
Got the rings and gasket coming, but due to quality of the parts diagram I don't even know what to order to rebuild the valve.
TSC has lots of PTO and 3 PH parts. atleast around here. I have seen some hydraulic and valve kits their as well. Only other thing is to talk to your local Kubota dealer.

OK, have run into a brick wall.
Called a Kubota dealer, there are no individual parts to rebuild control valve 34150-36400.
They only sell the whole unit, over $300 from Messick's.

If I only knew what the internals look like before I mess with it I'd have a better chance at rebuilding it, otherwise I'm going to assume the only problem is the O ring and backup ring.

Do you have the WSM for your tractor?
It might shed some light on things.

The version I have does not show parts just the whole valve.

I'm betting there is not much too it, there might not even be any seals in it.
I have found others that have said there 3 point has quit working due to one of the valves in the control being stuck.

As always pictures help, I'm wondering if a piece of metal is stuck in the valve?

I was going to suggest that you replace the liner while you are in there till I seen the price P/N 34150-37130 $459.25
That being the case Inspect for wear and cracks, if none hone it and call it good.

Don't know if it's the same, but below is a pic of the manual I've been using.
Since I don't use the three point for anything except for hauling a ballast box around, it's more of a nuisance problem then a real problem. I will make every attempt to fix things while I'm into it, but if it goes beyond just replacing the O-ring and back up ring in checking that cylinder for wear, and I can't put an easy fix on it will just let it go as is.

If that's the case you could always use a check chain to keep it up! ;)

I don't like those I T manuals. I bought one for my WD and found several things that were flat out wrong, so I haven't bought one for he Kubota.

I do however have a .pdf file of a parts manual for the L175. It doesn't have the best diagrams, but it does give me some idea as to how things go together.
