I have a B2150, my back blade will not stay in the middle position, it drops. It will say all the way down or all the way up just not in the middle position. Any ideas for the fix?

Does the lever stay in different positions?
If not then the problem is in the levers detent.

It will only stay in the all the way down or all the way up position. What is involved in fixing the detent?

not sure if that is a 1/4 valve or position control......

so it is all or nothing either way?

I don not know what those are. It has lever just to the right of the seat, the lever moves inside of a arched bracket. It does not have resting spots. Its kind of like the infinite wind shield wiper delay on your car. Sorry this is the best way I know of how to explain it. The lever moves very easily and due to gravity when placed in the middle area it falls to the bottom. When it is all of the way up it is straight up and down therefore it stays in place.

so if you hold it at the midpoint - will it stay there (the 3 point ) or does it continue up or down as you hold the middle position?

look at the linkage - somewhere there is a part that can be tightened, the lever you talk about should stay somewhat where you place it. some have a little clamp that you can slide the lever against and that places the 3 point where it needs to be, the clamp is movable and can be reclamped to change position of the 3 point.

Correct, it will the 3 point will stay at any point where I hold the lever. It seems as if there should be some friction disc or something to keep it where it is placed. Not sure if this is the case.

old ford N series and many others had a friction disc, follow the linkage(s) see if anything can be tightened.....if it stays where you place it - then keeping it there is an easier problem to fix! :D

send a picture of the handle and linkage if you can

It's a positional control valve, the handles position is the position of the implement. ;)
I'll get you the picture here in a bit when I get back home of where you need to adjust it to make it work right. :)

Great advise. I tried to get the lever off and put a new wave washer on but it is really stuck, I was however able to tighten up the nut and snug up the lever. It will work for now. Thanks for the help.

You have 2 main parts to that system, control and feed back.
The control part is probably your problem.
I would first spray down all the parts with a rust breaker like PB Blaster and let that sit for a couple of days, if you already tried tightening nut #20 and it didn't help then it would be best just to replace the parts, it's cheap and will return the full use.

#20 Lock nut 67950-59140 $2.16
#40 Spring washers (get 2) 67156-36890 $0.85
#50 Collar 67156-36910 $3.61

Here is the feed back rod, just make sure it's still intact and connected on both ends.

The part that Tx Jim was stating is (quadrant or also called lever guide rail) #120, and (stops) 140,150,160,170
In this case I don't think that's the problem as the middle lever adjustment is done by the friction on the washers not a physical stop, they adjust for the limits of top and bottom movement of the 3 point.
