1993 L2350DT Loader Hydraulics Leaking

I just purchased a 5 acre place here in Hutto. Part of the deal was a 1993 tractor, L2350DT with loader and all the cool stuff. Well, I went over there today and started it up and went through it and found that the left hydrualic lift is leaking. Picture below shows the drop of fluid. It does not appear to be coming from the hose fitting, but instead, right around the ram that extends from the tube. My quesiton is, do I have to take this thing to a Kubota dealer to deal with this? Can I take it off the loader to have it worked on or do I have to trailer the tractor over to the dealer? OR Are there parts available for a rather handy guy that does not have ANY experience with hydraulics to rebuild, repack or whatever the terminology is for what this thing needs?

Doesn't look too complicated, looking at the parts diagram. If it were me I'd give it a try to rebuild it myself, but then I'm hardheaded.. Any local hydraulic shop or equipment shop should be able to do it for you. There not difficult to remove, just be safe and block the loader arms in place.

Anyone with common sense and mechanical ability should be able to repair a hyd cylinder. The rod guide that the seal goes into appears to unscrew from the barrel of the cylinder allowing access to inner parts.

They sell a special spanner wrench (link here), to remove the end, its a little costly, but a good tool to have if your going to do more than one.
Or you can use a draft punch to do it too.

Pipe wrench will do it.

If you look at the thumbnail pic the nut (060) that holds everything together will be put on with locktite. If you put a little heat on there with a torch it will burn the locktite enough for you to get the nut off. When you put it back together be sure to use threadlocker or you will stand a chance of the nut comming off during use.

The seals (if you can find the right shop) shouldn't cost but about $20.

If you have any farmers close by might be worth while to drop in and ask for advise. You can bet if they have equipment at some point in time it has broke down and they will know the best place to get parts in the area. Can't ever tell, they might do that kind of work in their own shop. I have a neighbor that has as good of a hyd / machine shop as you will find anywhere right on his farm. Keep us posted.

That one looks pretty easy it shouldn't take any more than basic skills to replace each old part with its new one. Just line everything up as it comes apart and take note of which way the seals are oriented
When I did my old 8200 the kits were almost $80 per ram.
