    MTL Implements

I have an MTL grapple and pallet forks. I absolutely love them. They have been completely flawless in their operation and I'm not easy on my equipment. I bought a 48" grapple for my L3901 because I wanted a lighter weight grapple to increase the weight of stuff I can pick up with it. When I...

WR Long 3rd. function vs Summit Hydraulics

I used the summit kit on my L3901. I had to modify it because I have an Ansung loader and not a Kubota loader. I knew that going in. I was extremely disappointed in the wiring with the kit. They did not design it to wire in to the tractor so you have to figure it out on your own. They...

Add grapple to pallet forks on a budget -- Precision Manufacturing vs Titan vs ???

I bought a grapple and pallet forks from MTL Attachments and I've been VERY pleased. I spent hours and hours researching this. I bought a smaller grapple than my bucket. I bought the 48 inch grapple under the concept that a lighter grapple allows for more material to be lifted. Plus, my...

    Grease gun recommendation

Unbiased Grease Gun Comparison Whatever Project Farm recommends. I will say that there is logic in using only one battery family. If you like Ryobi, stay with it. If you like DeWalt, stay with it. For a manual gun, they are all pretty much the same. The best one you can buy is the one...

    Tool Box

A handgun and a cell phone. If it breaks down use the cell phone. If you see a snake use the handgun. I don't try to repair stuff in the field, I take it back to my workshop. If it won't run, I call for a ride if it's too far to walk, and come back to drag it home.

    3rd funtion pros and cons

I have the Summit Hydraulics kit and was absolutely not impressed with how they intend for the user to wire it in to the tractor. If I had a Kubota brand FLE instead of an Ansung the install would have taken under a half an hour. Since I had to modify all of the brackets to work with my FEL...

    Joys of new tractors

I had the same leak. I also had the top hose on the power steering box leak due to a loose clamp. These seem to be a standard problem with the L series.

3rd function buttons not working properly

Get a can of electrical contact cleaner and hose down the buttons. There's probably just some trash or corrosion in there.

FIRST POST! 60 year member! Need Grapple advice new L2501 owner

I bought my grapple from MTL. I bought a 48" to get a lighter grapple to increase the amount of junk I can lift with it. I did a LOT of research before I bought it and this was the best intersection of price and quality. https://www.mtlattachments.com/

    Diesel Anti Gel preference

Thank you everyone. I didn't know Project Farm did a test on diesel conditioners. I will watch his video and go with that.

    Diesel Anti Gel preference

Last winter wasn't very cold, but we've already had 4 days below freezing here in South Carolina. I suspect this will be a cold winter, so I would like to add some anti-gel so I can keep the tractor running smoothly. What is your preferred anti-gel and why?

Replacing hydraulic fluid on an L3901 HST

I have never encountered a more annoying job than refilling the hydraulic fluid on an L3901HST when doing a filter and fluid change. I didn't have any help and spilled what looked like an ocean (but was probably a quart). Just saying, there has to be another place to put that fill cap.

    L2501 3PH stabilizer problem

I have those same sway bars on my L3901 with R4 tires. This is not a problem with R1 tires. In the end you will end up either putting the chains back on or buying a set of wheel spacers. I have put my chains back on while I wait for a set of wheel spacers. Then I'll put the sway bars back on.

Wheel spacers for adjustable sway bars

I added adjustable sway bars on my L3901, and as expected they hit the R4 tires. I thought this might happen. Do I need 2 inch or 4 inch wheel spacers to make these fit without touching the tires? Who do you recommend that may have them in stock. I'm not interested in being on a wait list...

Questions about installing a Summit 3rd Function Kit

It took me most of the day yesterday, but I got this third function kit installed. Let me start out by saying that the kit was NOT designed to work with my Ansung loader so I had to make one bracket and modify the other bracket to get it to fit. This is no fault of Summit whatsoever. The kit...
