    front axle leak

I have a similar problem. I am presuming that using loader to lift heavy things like logs has created stress along the pivot shaft and seals, resulting in failure. Anything I should know about removing/reinstalling the shaft and replacing seals? I'm thinking jack up front to take weight...

BX2670 engine acts crazy after mowing for some time

Is it getting hot? Here's hoping you don't have an overheating problem.

    Lap Log

I lift logs with the loader all the time, however I would never, ever, put one in or over the bucket. I put ratchet straps over the bucket and around the log so that the log hangs beneath the loader bucket. I do this mostly for sawmill operations, which involve raising the log to wash it...

Can you figure this one out? Answer post 12!

Re: Can you figure this one out? This tractor is cold blooded. She really doesn't like to wake up it it's colder than 50 F. Takes about 90 sec of glow plug at that. More modern units like our Bx don't take nearly as much to get going.

Can you figure this one out? Answer post 12!

Re: Can you figure this one out? D2Cat. right fluid, wrong reason, but close enough. Here's the answer. The fluid was diesel fuel. I filled the tank full of fuel the night before, and when I heated it up, the tank overflowed. How much? I figure in the range of 200-300 ml. Some detail...

Re: Can you figure this one out? I was afraid I'd popped a frost plug, but that wasn't it, thankfully.

Can you figure this one out? Answer post 12!

There are a lot of smart and experienced folks here. See if you can figure out this puzzle, based on the information I give you in the next paragraph. A few days ago I needed my L210 to haul some firewood. It was about 20 F in the barn, so I did what I always do when it's cold. I pointed the...

Suggestions while I have head removed?

When this is all over, I hope you get down to what the root cause of the problems are. I'd be inclined to go with a working hypothesis of overheating due to or as a consequence of: 1. plugged radiator 2. failed water pump as you mentioned earlier I will say that if the tractor was used for...

Kubota l175 hard starting and other issues...

To start my similar L210 at 50 F it takes a full minutes of glow plug. The dash indicator glows red after 30 sec, and then 30 sec more is enough to get it to fire. If the engine start is rough, I turn the switch back to "glow" while the engine turns and adjust the throttle to find a smoother...

    BX and a 4' brush hog ??

The operator's manual for the BX 1850 rates it as able to handle a 4 foot rotary cutter. I have actually used a 5 foot L&S brush cutter on my BX 1850 with good results. Since the tractor has hydro drive, you can adjust speed to fit the mowing job. That said, don't expect to go blowing...

    Can this wheel be repaired?

What kind of welder and power input did you use? I'm gonna guess you used a Lincoln Tombstone stick welder.

if i ever wanted to add a loader to my bx2350?

Does your tractor have a loader valve? If so, you should be able to get a loader from the dealer for around $3k installed. If you don't have the valve, it's going to be a lot more.

New BX23S: lifting generator with FEL?

I use ratchet straps around the bucket to lift a variety of things. I've lifted engines, logs, railroad ties, fuel tanks, and other stuff. I put one strap on each side between boom and curl cylinder. More straps if balance is an issue.

    Help .. I’m stuck...

Amusing, and the dog was a good sport to pose. Main thing to remember when pulling a tractor out is to take it out of gear. I've sunk the Bx up to its axles so many times I lost count. Every time I have to get the other tractor going and tug it out with the chains. I even used the truck at...

Need help...New trailer to haul Bx2380 with a FEL?

Suppose you want ballast for the loader? Usually this is in the form of an implement, but it could be a weight box. 12 ft is a little short for that.

What's a "must get" price for this L260

https://southjersey.craigslist.org/grd/d/new-gretna-1976-kubota-l260-with-loader/6882198057.html It's an L260 with loader with what seller reports as some loss of power in one cylinder. Thx.

Need help...New trailer to haul Bx2380 with a FEL?

Don't try and cram tractor +loader onto a 5x10 or 6x10. Just don't do it. You are asking for bad things to happen. You'd be better off with a 16 foot or longer trailer with tandem axles and brakes. 7000 lb is adequate and 10,000 lb is better. Depends on your truck among other things. Don't...

New BX - what should come with factory mulch kit?

The nice thing about a mulch kit is that the clippings go down into the lawn instead of out the chute and all over the operator if the wind is blowing the wrong way. Downside of mulch kit in addition to the cost is that it takes a little more power from the engine, and some say the blades need...
