What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Oh Shaun. You need to set down the 'mills. Grouse is up near Grayling. I know anything above Flint is "Northern Michigan" to anyone from Detroit (and probably out of state)... Maybe you're getting some Flint River ice cubes for your scotch? (going to have to search for a "what you drinking...

I was working with Dan at Deer Creek but it looks like that won't work out. I missed the end of year rebates so the price took a pretty decent jump and there hasn't been any help on his end. With the price increase, that's thrown the LS's I was looking at back into contention. I've actually got...

    SnowBlowing and Block Heaters

But but but... if you used a remote you wouldn't be able to use the tractor to dig a 600' trench from the house to the barn to run conduit for electrical wire for a 3 way switch... :D

    What extras to buy?

I started a thread where I asked the question a bit differently HERE The general outcome (for things you could get from the dealer): Pallett Forks Quick Hitch (Pat's Quickhitch was the one recc'd) Box Blade Grapple For things outside of the dealer: Piranha tooth bar (HERE) Hodge's Stabalizers...

I've checked with them and to add 2 rear remotes, they want $1,428+tax+1hr labor. I didn't have them price out the T&T, only because I think that would be stretching my budget a bit, but maybe I could see about them rolling it in. I got back my quote from the other dealer and... they were...

OK. After finally taking a look at the other comparable models and getting some basic prices, it looks like I'm going to go with an L4600. I'm still waiting on 1 more quote, but the setup looks to be: L4600 LA764 SSQA Loader with L2236 72" Light Materials bucket R4 Tires w/ Rim Guard 72"...

Quick easy and cheap liquid tire ballast install

Stu, OTT has an article on the pros/cons of different types of ballasts. http://www.orangetractortalks.com/2009/01/comparing-types-of-liquid-tire-ballast/ As for how much, that I'm not sure. I'll leave it to others with more knowledge.

BX2670 front end loader max load

If she's Schrodinger's GF, until you open the box she weighs both nothing and 200#. Don't open the box and just say all the weight is the box.

    Smokers

Airflow is the big issue with using it. I set a small butane torch on it's side to light the thing for a good 5 minutes, then let it sit outside for 10ish minutes (usually while the smoker is coming up to temp). Once lit and in the smoker you have to remove the chip filler and open the chip...

    Smokers

You using the MES 30? I use this for my smoking: http://www.amazenproducts.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=AMNPS5X8 I buy my pellets from them too, though you can find some cheaper around. Take out the water pan, move the the bottom rack so it sits on top of the chip box and put the pellet...

    Box Scraper

The scarifiers are technically an option on every new box blade I've seen for sale. They lift up and out of the way when you don't need them though so I think everyone usually gets them. One of those "mandatory options" if you will. Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk

Is the BH77 backhoe plumbing good for anything fun?

Also just an FYI... If you are interested in a log splitter, many have PTO adapters so they can be powered that way instead of hydros.

Implement/Attachment you wish you had sooner

Scanning the forum and I found a list of everyone's "favorite" attachments (ended up turning into everyone just listing which ones they had) and I was curious. What are the 1 or 2 attachments you wish you had got sooner then you did? Perhaps related: besides the normal uses of the...

Christmas Trees - Real or Artificial?

Real tree. Canaan fir also this year (kids... We usually stick with a fir). Going to be planting some so we can start picking from our own property instead of paying through the nose at the cut-your-own farms. (it just went up yesterday, hence the lack of decorating) Sent from my LG-H811...

That's one of the better parts too. Extending the payments on the 4600 for another year make the payments the same as the 3301. Sent from my LG-H811 using Tapatalk

I stopped at my closest local dealer yesterday. Appears I threw my budget out the window and am contemplating an L4600... I priced out a 3301 also, and there is only a 4k difference between them. Sooooo. I've still got 2 more dealers to check with and see what they can do. Edit 1: Spelling...

    Lowering deck arms on BX25D

Not sure if it's the case, but on our old (OLD) Ford the 3pt actually had to have a load to actually go down. Pushing the lever allowed it, but if we didn't have the blade or mower attached it wouldn't move.
