Been working on my ballast barrel. Have frame welded together, now ready for scrap steel and concrete. Even put hitch reciever on back.

I'm building me a ballast barrel for my L3901 with L525 FEL. I was going to make it 1000 lbs but I wonder if that is to heavy for my tractor. The 3 pt hitch lifting capacity is 1985lbs but says the max weight for a rotory cutter for example is 770lbs. The max for any implement it list is 926lbs...

Finally got my 3 point trailer hitch welded together and painted. Next welding and installing my bucket hooks and clevis eyes. Then pallet forks for bucket.

Just did the 50 hour service on my L3901DT with shuttle shift gear trans. Manual says not necessary to change hydraulic filter until 400 hrs. Seems like a long time till 1st service. Is this ok on the gear trans or would it be a good idea to go ahead and change it just to be sure.
