B2601 Treadle Pedal hard to use

I've had a B2301 for a little less than 4 years. The pedal design was a little different to get used to, but I've never had any issues. I seem to put my heel on the back, and toe under the front when I use reverse. May sound a little odd, but it works fine for me.

    MMM rpm

Apparently I need to bump the rpm up a bit, according to all these replies. I'll give it a test next mowing. thanks

    MMM rpm

I'm sure this has been asked and answered before, but none of my searches had positive results. I have a B2301 with MMM and typically run it around 2200 rpm when mowing. I generally run it in low range (and pedal not quite to the metal), because I mow 99% on a hill. What do others run when...

Stomper....did you find anything? I've seen a lot of chatter on different forums about this same issue.

    Mid PTO vs Rear PTO

Thanks for the fast response from y'all. I sort of assumed it was typical, but wanted to hear some other opinions. I only ran both PTO's at hardly above idle and only for 30 or less seconds. I thought about stopping by local Kubota dealer to talk to them about it, but we all know what they're...

    Mid PTO vs Rear PTO

I have a B2301 with about 70 hours on the meter. I just removed the MMM for winter storage. I moved the PTO lever from mid to rear and ran PTO for a minute or so, then back to mid PTO. Seems a lot smoother and quieter on rear vs mid. With the mower engaged, you'd never know the difference...

    B2301 50hr

Cglaza, so I'm worried about nothing, like I often do? Thanks I also received this from a friend outside the forum who is typically knowledgeable on mechanical issues: Hydraulic oil is slightly brown when new. - I would not change it !!! In industrial applications the same oil would not be...

    B2301 50hr

I've been reading up on all the posts related to doing the initial 50hr maintenance and have been intrigued with the shop vac oil trick. After reading about oil getting sucked up in vac, and what hp to limit to, etc., I decided that I needed to provide a way to vary the amount of suction. I...

    RC72 Tire Clearance

I didn't think it's really a power issue. There seems to be more than enough HP to keep the RPM's steady while mowing. I was more concerned about front to back dimensions. Maybe the turf tire OD plus RC72 is just a bad combination.

    RC72 Tire Clearance

I'm looking at a B2150 that has a 72" mower deck. The deck looks way too close to the rear tires, and even has black rubber marks where it has hit the tires. I can see a little forward/backward adjustment, but not much. Is this deck just too big for the tractor?

    B7200 Hub Bolt Torque

You had to throw that piece of information out there, didn't you!!! It did remind me that I wanted to put a dab of anti-seize on the bolt, which I didn't. I didn't have any problems getting it out originally, but a little of the silver stuff doesn't hurt. I think I'll live on the edge and put...

    B7200 Hub Bolt Torque

The hub in this drawing looks like the newer style hub. Not sure when they quit using the old style. I did stop at my Kubota dealer down the road and the parts guy found the spec in their shop manual. I was told that it's 72.3ft lbs. Why not 72 or 73? Who knows!!

    B7200 Hub Bolt Torque

If the Kubota guys will reveal the secret bolt torque, I'll post later tomorrow. I did save that chart for future reference! thanks phaser

Lift arm swivel balls rusted to the pin

I'm assuming hot red hot is really not red hot! Sounds crazy enough to work. Heat will usually do wonders...used with care.

    B7200 Hub Bolt Torque

I did see that post in my searching, but wrote it off as wheel bolts, and not hub bolt. I would think specs for a bolt, regardless of application would probably be close, as long as female threads are ample for length of bolt. I'm 14 miles from one Kubota dealer, and 10 miles from another...

Lift arm swivel balls rusted to the pin

I'm a believer in Kroil too, but....do you have access to any metalworking tools? I made this to pull off a steering wheel, but it has been handy on several stuck items since. I tried it on my B7200 and it fit just right over the bar that the swing arm fits over. You could make something like...

    B7200 Hub Bolt Torque

I know I saw this once before, but I've been searching for the last hour and can't find it. Lots of posts on loose hubs, but nothing about the bolt torque. My hubs seem to be OK, and no visible wear as I've seen in some of the posts. I just want to torque to specs. I've looked through the...

    RC60-72 Tension Arm Spindle

Last post for this. Installed spindle and put everything back together. Alignment was perfect (unlike the distorted pictures appear), and tension arm is like new. Glad it's done!!

    RC60-72 Tension Arm Spindle

I'm not sure if the tension arm is original or replaced. The end of the spindle was threaded for a zerk, but it was missing. Apparently not greased for a while either. I bored out the tension arm to remove any grooves, etc., then made a new spindle to fit. I still need to cut a slight groove...

    RC60-72 Tension Arm Spindle

Lots of views, but no comments! Guess I'll have to reply to my own post. For those that may end up doing what I'm doing, maybe this will help. Took a 1.375" hole saw and cut the weld out. Spindle dropped out fairly easily. Put on lathe and thought maybe I'd just cut down to eliminate wear...
