I've had a B2301 for a little less than 4 years. The pedal design was a little different to get used to, but I've never had any issues. I seem to put my heel on the back, and toe under the front when I use reverse. May sound a little odd, but it works fine for me.

Apparently I need to bump the rpm up a bit, according to all these replies. I'll give it a test next mowing. thanks

I didn't think it's really a power issue. There seems to be more than enough HP to keep the RPM's steady while mowing. I was more concerned about front to back dimensions. Maybe the turf tire OD plus RC72 is just a bad combination.

I'm looking at a B2150 that has a 72" mower deck. The deck looks way too close to the rear tires, and even has black rubber marks where it has hit the tires. I can see a little forward/backward adjustment, but not much. Is this deck just too big for the tractor?

The hub in this drawing looks like the newer style hub. Not sure when they quit using the old style. I did stop at my Kubota dealer down the road and the parts guy found the spec in their shop manual. I was told that it's 72.3ft lbs. Why not 72 or 73? Who knows!!

I'm assuming hot red hot is really not red hot! Sounds crazy enough to work. Heat will usually do wonders...used with care.

I did see that post in my searching, but wrote it off as wheel bolts, and not hub bolt. I would think specs for a bolt, regardless of application would probably be close, as long as female threads are ample for length of bolt. I'm 14 miles from one Kubota dealer, and 10 miles from another...

Last post for this. Installed spindle and put everything back together. Alignment was perfect (unlike the distorted pictures appear), and tension arm is like new. Glad it's done!!

I'm not sure if the tension arm is original or replaced. The end of the spindle was threaded for a zerk, but it was missing. Apparently not greased for a while either. I bored out the tension arm to remove any grooves, etc., then made a new spindle to fit. I still need to cut a slight groove...
