I'm looking at a B2150 that has a 72" mower deck. The deck looks way too close to the rear tires, and even has black rubber marks where it has hit the tires. I can see a little forward/backward adjustment, but not much. Is this deck just too big for the tractor?

A 72" is pushing the limits for a ZD326 high torque units so yes way too much deck.

And not recommended for the B2650 tractor.

I didn't think it's really a power issue. There seems to be more than enough HP to keep the RPM's steady while mowing. I was more concerned about front to back dimensions. Maybe the turf tire OD plus RC72 is just a bad combination.

My B2400 did the same thing with the RCK60-24b deck. You could see where rear tires had rubbed on back of deck a few times. The only time clearance was close was when deck was raised, so I suspect it may have been rubbed while deck was raised and I was in a position that twisted the deck to one side or the other, ie crossing ditch at angle.
