    Tractor Stability

If you’re going to be using it primarily for mowing, you may want to stick with a heavy 3 point weight in lieu of filled tires as you will want to reduce or remove the 3 point weight to minimize lawn damage. Certainly what is safe is up to you. I run 600 lbs on the back of my B2601 when using...

    It's only new once.....

Bought my B2601 in December, upgraded from a BX1880. Very capable machine and have been very happy with the upgrade. Still waiting on a BH as well. Dealer had thought maybe April, but nothing yet. Good luck

Purchasing Implements w/ Tractor.. biggest regret

Depends on the implement. In many cases, the 3rd party options are better for similar, or slightly more money. There are only a few cases where the dealer option is the only option, front mount snow blower comes to mind. I bought a box blade with my first tractor, a BX1880, to only find out...

    Dents on Brand New Loader?

Can’t say I have ever looked at my loader close enough to see anything like this. As others have said, I’d send it in to the dealer just so there is a record of it in case there is an issue in the future. I doubt it will cause any degradation of the loader, but better to have a record of it.

    Rear remotes

looks like you’re correct. Either prices have gone up a lot or my memory is off, but thanks for catching my error.

    Rear remotes

I don’t believe the rear remotes for a B2601 are as expensive as stated above. Mine cost $1300 installed for two double acting remotes and was done in December. I believe the two remote kit is around $700-800 if you want to install yourself. You can look at Summit hydraulics as well for...

First Tractor - Trying to Get Information on 2022 Supply Chain

I bought a B2601 in late December. I was lucky that he had the tractor, loader and tires in stock. He had to order the rear remotes, backhoe and snow blower. Wasn’t expecting the snow blower or backhoe, but the snow blower and remotes arrived within a couple weeks and I took delivery in mid...

Woodland Mills WC-68 or WoodMaxx TM-8H or WoodMaxx WM-8H

If you look up the owners manuals online through the woodmaxx website, the manuals show in great detail how to change the knives. I haven’t done it on my 8600, but it looks pretty straightforward. I would assume woodland mills has something similar. I run my 8600 on a B2601, and yes, the MX...

    Passing Along The Price Hike?

Im no banker, but my guess is Kubota has their own financing wing and unlike a bank, who makes money from loans, Kubota makes their money selling equipment, and any losses they take on offering low or 0% interest rates is more than made up by the higher volume and more expensive machines they...

Woodland Mills WC-68 or WoodMaxx TM-8H or WoodMaxx WM-8H

I have the MX-8600, what replaced the previous small model. Have put about 3-4 hours on it so far and have been very happy with it. Minimum 15 hp at the PTO required, hydraulic feed and takes up to 6” branches. I would talk with the folks at woodmaxx and get their opinion on your situation...

    Passing Along The Price Hike?

Decision to finance or not is certainly a situational and personal one. With 0%, unless there is a steep cash discount, it’s generally not going to make sense to pay cash. You could take the $30k, and if you wanted a truly safe investment, put it in a high yield account getting 0.5% annually or...

    Passing Along The Price Hike?

Tractors aren’t like cars where their is a sticker price. The dealers add in their delivery fees, setup fees, etc and come up with their own pricing. At least that has been my experience. For both tractors I bought over the last couple years, the pricing on the website and the dealer pricing...

    Passing Along The Price Hike?

I will give you my experience as I recently bought a B2601 as well. The week of Christmas, I went to my two local Kubota dealers looking for prices on a B2601 TLB with a snow blower and rear remotes. The dealer I wound up buying from was $1000 more than the other dealer, but he had one on the...

    Loader Experts? Lift Capacity Charts

to your point about distance. Picture is my B2601 with 960 lbs of rubber mulch with 200 lb forks. B2601 is rated at ~950 lbs at the pin at full height. This thing was maxed out and I was only able to get it a few inches off the ground, but given that there’s over 200 lbs of weight 4’ from the...

    Loader Experts? Lift Capacity Charts

I would say your spot on, especially when you look at the values for 1500mm lifting height and the chart and they match up.

    Price check for L2501HST

I bought a new B2601 in December. When I bought that, i was told by my dealer that a 4% increase was coming to tractors and 6% on loaders/BHs starting January 1st. Since then, there was another price increase on April 1st for another 4%. Demand is high and supplies are low. Kubota also held off...

LX2610 buying help - HP question

Is the 2038r a two speed HST? Coming from a BX with a 2 speed and going to a B2601 with a 3 speed, the difference is quite noticeable in how much better control you have over your speed. I find myself in medium most of the time, but it’s nice to have low when you need to go slow or need the...

    Tooth bars for bucket

I had a piranha bar on my previous BX and have the EA wicked toothbar on my B2601. when I was looking at toothbars for the B2601, I was between the two mentioned above and the heavy hitch bar. I’m a big fan of heavy hitch and have a few of their products, but didn’t like that it essentially...

    Top n tilt

I don’t think that monsterous rod end will fit my little B2601, even if the lengths were equal. I know for the smaller compact and subcompact kubota tractors they require a smaller diameter rod end than what is normally available. The tractor innovation top link was not as nice as the previous...

    Buying BH70 backhoe for B2601

I bought my B2601 in December. Prices quoted by two dealers, when buying the BH with the tractor purchase was $8,400 and $8,700. Prices have gone up significantly since 2019.
