EA 6% off sale till August 15, 2022

I went ahead and ordered with the 6%, so maybe I'm one of the suckers. I had been waiting to order an aerator, thinking prices would come down with everything going on, and they have just continued to go up. If I had purchased it 3-4 months ago, I would have saved myself a few hundred dollars...

    B2601 Piranha Bar mounting

It’s a complete crap shoot on when you will get it. From what I understand, they produce stuff in batches. If you order when the batches are being made, you may get it pretty quick. When I ordered one for my BX, I think it took 6-8 weeks to arrive. I have no idea if yours will be a ”custom” job...

Most terrifying moment on a tractor in years

Given your level of education on the subject, I figured you knew the difference, but many see the headline that the current administration shutdown the keystone XL pipeline and equate that the entire pipeline was cancelled not realizing that there has been a pipeline in operation already for a...

Most terrifying moment on a tractor in years

Just to make one correction to your overall well thought out and insightful response, the keystone pipe line is still in operation today. The administration shutdown the keystone XL pipeline expansion, which is already partially completed.

    It's only new once.....

I didn’t put the backhoe in the financing package. I put the tractor and anything else they had available in it and plan to either finance the backhoe separately (they have a 0% for 2 years I believe) or just buy it outright and be done with it. there was some gymnastics that could have been...

Im buying my first tractor. I want a M5 111 with 4 wheel drive

Anyone can join the cutting horse association to get the 20% discount. Only downside is you can’t get the 0% financing and you’ll wind up with the standard rate, which last I saw was over 7% on a 5 year note. If you’re paying cash, it’s a no brainer.

Im buying my first tractor. I want a M5 111 with 4 wheel drive

I know you said you have limited dealer options in your area, but is your area heavily farmed and is your dealer geared towards your needs? I have two kubotas about equidistant from me. One is geared towards farming and the other more towards landscaping and construction. I have bought machines...

    B2601 Piranha Bar mounting

I had a piranha toothbar on my BX. I left the cutting edge on. Preferred having it on as it took the abuse so that the bucket didn’t have to. With my B2601, I went with the wicked toothbar which they said the cutting edge had to be removed. Either way, the toothbar should take most of the wear...

I decided to just wait out my local dealer and am renting an excavator for the more time sensitive items I need done. Shipping quotes were ranging from $900-2,400 and even at the lowest price, was making the cost-benefit of it just not worth it. Ginger concern was if it got damaged at all I...

    It's only new once.....

Still no word. Stopped in about a month ago and they had no ETA. I reached out to a few other dealers, they told me any new orders are back ordered till 2023, so I’m planning to not have the backhoe anytime soon. I’m actually renting an excavator in a couple weeks to do a couple jobs that I had...

    Start Up?

What kind of outside temperatures are we talking about and how is it stored? My previous BX1880 and my current B2601 will start without glow plugs with the outside temperature probably in the 40-50 range and above. I probably only need the glow plugs for around freezing and below. Even at...

Another Newbie Contemplating a New Purchase

Take a look at tractor time with Tim. He run an attachment called a brush tiger that he runs on an LX3310. Sounds like w something that might fit the bill for your embankment and trimming trees.

    Shipping

Thought about it, but I don’t have a couple days to burn making the trip unfortunately. Shipping quotes I got already are $800-1,400, but my bigger concern is unloading the thing. Not sure my B2601 can handle moving the 900+ lb backhoe. It’s new and from a dealer so it’s in the original...

    Shipping

Not sure what section to add this to, so figure this is as good as any. Long story short, I bought a B2601 back in December. I was pretty lucky as the dealer had one in stock, but ordered a BH and still no sight of it so I started looking around. Was able to find a dealer in West Virginia that...

    Tractor Stability

when you push the wheels out with spacers, you put more strain on the axle. Think of it as a cantilevered load, with the force at the tire being the force acting on where the axle enters the transmission. The B01 tractors have a factory wheel spacers option, but have a note that they are not to...

    3pt attachment for BX23S

Mark Hodge does it as a side job and has a large waiting list when I got mine from him. I think I waited about a year for mine, but he was the only one making them at the time. I doubt the messicks kit is made by him. I have seen many people with the Messicks kit and they were happy with it...

    3pt attachment for BX23S

For the 80 series tractors, the rear remote kit is BX2419, but the price is about the same. I paid $400 For it when I had my BX. The one you mention is for the 70 series tractors. Not sure the differences between the two kits as they look very similar.

    3pt attachment for BX23S

You can buy then telescoping stabilizers to replace the turn buckles from messicks. There is also a guy online, Mark Hodge, that makes them as well. They’re around $200 from either source.

    Tractor Stability

there’s no reason to not take a multi faceted approach to solving the problem. To that, a box blade doesn’t have enough weight generally to maximize the capability of the loader. The manual states to use 600 lbs, and many people use more than that, a correctly sized box blade is not going to...
