1.33 acres, heavily wooded and overgrown... Need advice on a tractor purchase!

Try PARCS in West Virginia. They seem to have stuff.

The QH10 and 15 were discontinued and combined into a single QH. It appears that the 16 is essentially the same as the 15, but you no longer need bushings. I’ll have to contact my dealer because that would be the perfect solution. The website and internet have limited information on it, so it...

1.33 acres, heavily wooded and overgrown... Need advice on a tractor purchase!

It’s pretty much the norm these days on anything with a hydraulic cylinder. There has been unprecedented demand all while dealing with supply and material shortages. I would call around, even if you need to look at dealers not local to you and ship/go pick it up. Some of the larger dealers have...

1.33 acres, heavily wooded and overgrown... Need advice on a tractor purchase!

When I bought my first tractor, a BX,I already had a ride on mower, a cub cadet XT2, which I had bought a few years earlier for like $1700. I thought about getting the mower deck for the tractor, but between the annoyance of taking it off and the cost of it, I just kept the mower. I also have a...

1.33 acres, heavily wooded and overgrown... Need advice on a tractor purchase!

I have an acre and a B2601. I really wanted an LX, but when I saw it in person it was just too big for my uses. The extra lift capacity would be helpful occasionally, but not enough for my uses. Its really hard for people to provide much concrete guidance with things like these as much of the...

I certainly thought about it, I’m just not inclined to alter a $3k attachment. I’ll need to think through if there is a non-permanent solution.

    3 Point Quick Hitch Suggestions

I certainly see the appeal of the pats setup, and I've thought about getting it before. I know people that have them generally seem to be pretty happy with it as it allows them to attach to pretty much anything. I have a decent set up implements, and so far everything fits the QH05. I just...

    3 Point Quick Hitch Suggestions

I can drop an implant off the back and hook up a new one without ever getting off the machine. I guess that is not unique to having the hydraulic top link, but it makes connecting things very easy. With a pats quick hitch, it will require disconnecting the top link and reconnecting it each time...

1.33 acres, heavily wooded and overgrown... Need advice on a tractor purchase!

The 1025 felt like a larger tractor than the BX because it is. It is closer in size and capability to the B01 series than the BX. keep dealer support in mind when picking a machine. It is what would drive my decision for which brand I chose. I have two kubota dealers within 20 minutes of me...

    Implement Delivery Delays?

I ordered something from them a couple weeks ago. When they called to confirm my order their first question was if I knew their lead time. I already knew it was going to be a wait, but it sounds like they either learned their lesson or the guy I got was just more on the ball. As to the OPs...

1.33 acres, heavily wooded and overgrown... Need advice on a tractor purchase!

My BX1880 with 1.5” wheels spacers was less stable than my stock B2601. It’s only a few inches wider, but the larger tires and the heavier weight seem to keep it much more planted. Things that would lift a wheel on the BX don’t even budge the B01.

1.33 acres, heavily wooded and overgrown... Need advice on a tractor purchase!

It’s certainly not the ability for many, it’s just a lack of time. My wife and I both work full time, we have a 4 year old who has stuff going on along with our own hobbies and interests. I do my own property management as I enjoy it, but I don’t have the time to mow my lawn with a push mower...

1.33 acres, heavily wooded and overgrown... Need advice on a tractor purchase!

I have an acre with a B2601. I previously had a BX1880. Not that the BX didn’t do everything I asked, but the B2601 isn’t much larger than a BX, but far more capable. I have found it to be the right fit for my needs even though many would say it’s overkill. We are looking to buy an additional 2...

    3 Point Quick Hitch Suggestions

I currently have a land pride QH05 and a decent collection of rear implements (box blade, weight bracket, wood chipper, rear blade sprayer, dethatcher and an aerator). I recently bought a used EA aerator, and it doesn’t match up to the qH05 even though it appears to be QH compatible (quick hitch...

EA 6% off sale till August 15, 2022

In one of the recent GWT videos where he talks about the summit tractor he states why he stopped selling used machines, mainly because with the short supply and high prices, there is no money in it anymore. He also uses this as rationale for supporting this new tractor brand (wondering what kind...

    New Tractor 5 acres

Much like you, I do not have a "need" for a tractor, but I have had one for around 2 years and it gets a fair amount of use. I have a partially wooded acre and started with a BX1880. I had that for around a year and a half before moving up to a B2601. While the BX did everything I asked of it...

EA 6% off sale till August 15, 2022

My wife and I live a pretty modest life given our salaries and we have been fortunate to be mostly unaffected by inflation, but I don't think that is the case for most folks. People always have money for the stuff they want. I'm in a few Kubota groups and I am always floored by the money...

Fair point about GWT. I could certainly see him sitting on extra inventory given how he operates. He is just a distributor and for what you get his prices aren't great as far as I can tell. I don't see the same with EA, since as you said, they get their money upfront and don't keep inventory...

I bought my current B2601 back in December and it was delivered in January. I had quotes from 2 dealers near me, one was $1k more, but had it in stock, the other told me it would be a spring delivery and I would pay whatever the price was with some unknown price increases coming. I chose to...
