    no fill plug,frntwheels,L235

Newer L series kubota tractors have a common oil reservoir on the front axle. They usually have a vent plug on the top of the final drive which you remove, then fill the center axle until the oil runs from the center housing level plug. Be careful! the oil can be slow migrating through the...

L2650 won't turn off with key

Either the shutoff timer or the solinoid. Jumper power to the solinoid to see if it works, if it does the problem will be the timer or the connections at it. The timer is above the engine in front of the fuel tank, it has a four wire connector. Ed

    Introduction

Hi Vic This Yanmar belongs to one of our customers. His name is John Boden and He can be reached at (780) 781-7938. He can tell you more about it than I. I gave never seen it run so in that regard I don't know much about it. Parts of the transmission are missing here but I'm led to believe...

    charge pressure

I wouldn't recommend Dextron, I think it is too light for the kubota. That being said many are using it with good results. I recommend Kubota UDT ( of course I would, I work for the damn company!!) But It is a really good Universal Differential Transmission oil and many many times I've had...

    charge pressure

Hi Dusty-T I don't think the tranny flush will do any harm........ Don't really understand why it did any good either!! Unless it made the oil a little heavier. I meant to ask you what oil you had in there? A hydrostat is about the only mechanical thing I've ever seen heal itself! Sometimes...

The rear port is pump and the forward is power beyond (return from loader valve) Either port will work equally well, system is protected by an internal relief valve. Ed

    BX Auxiliary Hydraulics

Korydz suggested getting a service manual for your tractor. I agree with him if you're going to do your own service and repairs. They are not outragiously expensive like that other tractor! (Some dealers will tell you they are not available, just call another dealer!) That being said he is also...

    weak bx1500d

Can't hurt to change the oil!! when you have it out ( the oil that is) remove and clean the suction screen (lower left rear of machine, follow suction tube down the rear of the trans to "banjo" remove bolt from that fitting, it has a screen on it.) Shouldn't be much on it but you never know! If...

Clutch release bearing on L3130 GST

The release bearing on this tractor is only servicable if you split the tractor. Usually a failing release bearing will make noise when you press the clutch pedal. If it is adjusted properly it won't be in contact at all with the clutch released. The clutch disc can make a sort of rattling...

Front Axle Oil Level Modern L series

If you change the oil in the front axle of these tractors you drain it from the lower spindle. When you refill it you put the oil in the center axle housing until it comes out the level plug. If you then walk away happy the oil level will be too low!!! It takes a long time ( like hrs?) for the...

    RTV900/1100 rearaxle nut torque

For those people running rtv's there has been an increase in the torque spec for the nut on the rear axle. we have had some spline failures here so this is likely important! Remove the plastic hub cover in the center of the rear wheels, remove the cotter pin and torque the nut to 140 ft lbs...

Changing oil problem found with my L1500

i've never actually worked on a L1500/L175 But any of the small ones I do work on I remove the front axle pivot pin and lift up the front of the tractor to remove the oil pan. It is also quite easy to remove the whole front of the tractor by removing the bolts on both sides of the block and...

    charge pressure

Hi Dusty-t Was the cooler plugged up or restricted? I guess if you are happy alls good, right? I don't think you'll cause any more damage running it like it is provided it doesn't overheat. If you can hold onto the cooler lines it is cool enough. Ed

Changing oil problem found with my L1500

If it were mine I would just change the oil twice. Change it completely including filter then change again after an hour or so. it would be less costly than removing the pan even with synthetic oil. Ed

Hi Vic We have a yanmar, Can't remember the model though, sitting behind our shop. It needs a bellhousing/front end of transmission. Engine I think runs fine though! It is a powershift. I'll have a look tomorrow and tell you what the model is. I didn't take this one apart so I don't know the...
