    D1803-A or D1303-A???

Your tractor should have a D1302-a engine. As far as the noise, it IS a diesel, they have a noisier sound than a gas. Probably normal but could be a problem too---- I'd have to hear it to be sure. Ed

    B7100 oil psi

Did you check the oil pressure with a quage? Never trust an idiot light. If your engine has oil pressure at idle I see no reason it wouldn't have rev'ed up. Ed

    B6000 white smoke - decompression

If you don't need the decompresser you can remove it and plug up the holes. None of the new Kubota's have decompressers. If it was holding the valves open a little bit it could be the cause of the smoke. White smoke can be indicative of low compression. Ed

L2550D transmission fluid drain and fill

The coolant level light in your easy checker panel is sensing the level of coolant in the recovery bottle. If the level in that bottle is between the add and full marks and the light is on it is probably a faulty switch in the bottle.(I think the switch is in the cap) There are 4 drain plugs...

    cylinder liners in M7950dt

Don't clean the bores with a hone or emery cloth! You don't want to make them any bigger. Just clean them with varsol or a similar solvent. Many diesels have sleeves like these, Perkins comes immediately to mind. Perkins run their sleeves a lot looser than Kubota do and they don't come out...

    cylinder liners in M7950dt

Any machine shop worth their salt should know how to install these sleeves. Kubota sleeves are "unfinished" They must remove the old ones, Then press in the new ones and bore/ hone them to the proper size. On the bigger engines I clean the empty bores and new sleeves thoroughly then lightly oil...

    Mower Blade Sharpening

Sometimes we do just lay on the ground and reach under! In the shop i lift the mower up with my overhead crane. However you do it be sure it is blocked securely You sure don't want it falling on you! Ed

    cylinder liners in M7950dt

The liners are simply a press fit in the block. I have never seen one come loose in a kubota Ed

    front axle leak

I have no idea what you are able to fix yourself but the L3010 is really very simple. You will need a good snap ring plier but otherwise just normal tools. It is a sophisticated seal they use at that joint and care must be used installing it. Takes me about 1 hr per side to do that seal. Buy a...

    Yoke Assembly for RC72-29A MMM

I agree with Service Dept Vic, I looked that shaft up and our cost in Canada is more than $500:eek: It may interchange between other mowers but, as Vic says, chance of one being "loose" is scarce. I've had to deal with a few angry customers over the price of Kubota drive shafts. Ed

L4200 Re-furb and home built Cab

Of course we want to see it! A little cab on those can be so cute! I just rebuilt the engine on a B4200 that had been dusted ( air cleaner was broken and the customer continued using it) Those thinks are built to last forever if given half a chance! Ed

Drive Belt on T1760 yard tractor

The little pulley you speak of is a tensioner pulley. It goes on the back side of the belt on the "slack" side. It is held against the belt with a tension spring. Once this belt starts flipping of it usually is time for a new one. Ed

    PTO Dyno

Does anyone know of a PTO Dyno we can buy? I'd sure like to dyno test these Kubota's before I send them out, would likely eliminate a few service calls. Ed

    Belly mower adjustments

You are adjusting the bottom stop position on the mower lift linkage. It should be adjusted with the mower up. The mower wheels should then be set to 1/4" from the ground. These wheels are not designed to carry te mower, only o prevent scalping. They will wear out quickly if you let the mower...

    Kubota backhoe leaks

Hello That gland is held in with a snap ring (round type). Loosen off the set screw then tap the gland into the cylinder until it bottoms. ( shouldn't be too hard to move) pick out the round snap ring with a screwdriver, ice pick etc. then you can pull out the piston, rod, gland assembly as a...
