    LX4020 w/ Versa Turf’s

...tear up the grass as long as you don’t drive in muddy conditions and they are a lot stronger for loader work and more puncture proof than turf tires. I plow snow with them no problem, but if I needed more traction, I would just get some tire chains. What you have now is far better than turf...

I just bought my first tractor!

...it has what appears to be (according to what's left of the barcode) Kubota made (or branded atleast) 1.5" wheel spacers in the rear. So I don't know if that changes the torque specs or not. I know they were installed due to the tire chains. But the wheel spacers are probably worth keeping.

What's the right implement for the L2501 for driveway resurfacing/grading?

For decades farmer across the road pulled a c-channel and tire chains up and down his 800' driveway, every Sunday between church and brunch. It was a thing of beauty ! I made a mini version ,towed behind my 9HP garden tractor and ,yes, my driveway and parking lot(1/4 ac) was a thing of beauty...

    Tire chains for a 2024 Kubota BX1880

...can tend to pull sideways. Some old chains I had from a 26hp Craftsman lawn tractor fit perfectly. Can’t remember where I got them but “tire chains dot com” seems familiar – shop around. Make sure you get spring tensioners for each wheel to pull the chains tight. Note - my pictures show the...

    Tire chains for a 2024 Kubota BX1880

If you put chains on the tractor, make sure to get spacers, and should you break a chain, stop immediately and fix it. The hydraulic piping is just forward of the tire and to the inside of the tire. Not much room for a mistake or a flailing broken chain. I have a weight box on the rear of my...

    Tire chains for a 2024 Kubota BX1880

I purchased a new BX1880 which came with a front loader and a mower. My intensions are to use it to move snow in the winter. We live in the mountains so nothing is level. Could someone recommend what chains I should get? The mower has turf tires and I don't have plans to to buy other tires...

    tire chain storage

I store all of my smaller tractor tire chains in empty 5 gal lube buckets. Sometimes one side per bucket, sometimes both. Both fronts in another bucket or simply on shelf. Used 2-link ladders on my B3350 with wheel spacers but never any tensioners, bungees, etc. After proper fitment and...

    tire chain storage

Setting aside whether I actually need them or not, I bought rear tire chains for my LX. I unboxed one and put it on for a test fit and discovered: 1) it looks like I'll have to keep my wheel spacers on for the winter (I usually take them off), else the chains appear they wouldn't clear the...

    Snowblower?

...in the forecast and looks like enough to need blowing. I put my blower on and take off several times throughout the winter because I use my loader a lot on my B2920. I can swap from loader to snowblower and vice versa, in about 15-20 minutes. Tire chains, I wait until it looks like I need them.

Putting tire chains on turf tires is not a problem. You aren’t going to ruin them.

    Snowblower?

...blower on as I get older. Same with the MMM. I could easily see myself looking at a rear finish mower down the road. It's still the tire chains that motivate that task while it's above 40-50 and sunny..... ;) If you've ever put on icey/snowy chains on, you know what I'm talking about. Our...

    Snow chains…do I need them?

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Ordered the front directly from TireChain.com for the best price, the rear and tensioners from TireChain.com through Amazon (thanks @TerryKing) as it was around $100 less than TireChain.com directly.

    Snow chains…do I need them?

...chains ride and grip much better than the less expensive four-link ladder chains and are suitable for most applications. Of course, tire chains are sold to fit multiple tire sizes, and it is usually necessary (and certainly advisable) to fit a new set to a specific tire size. Few people take...
