    Draft control pinned out M7040

So going over the owners and service manual the other day, silly thing, the draft control lever is inoperable. It moves but serves no purpose, so dig into the problem. The book pictures show the top link pin holder and show it with two 12mm pins that go down through the shaft in the top link...

    M7040 rear remotes.

Well, most of the dealers I've called list $ 600+ for each remote and $125 for the handles/controls hopefully can find a dealer who will deal but it might be set by Kubota.

L-series Solenoid hydraulics: who has this?

Seems like it'd be straightforward, you have a hardline going to a fitting near the valve or does that go to the valve? Looks like the rubber line is the drain and then you have the vent on the other side. The hardline might be supply, the first step is figuring out the fluid flow path. Worked...

    M7040 rear remotes.

Working on a M7040 and adding a hydraulic rear blade, the tractor has one rear remote and spots for two more levers. Not to suggest that Kubota's parts are not worth the cash but close to 800 for each remote kit is a little steep! Are all M series rear remote valves the same? assuming detent...

    fuel injector pump repair

Now I'm not positive but doesn't the smaller lift pump have a manual lever on the side to cycle it? Usually you can open the fuel filter bleeders and cycle the lift pump and then crack each injector line maybe 1/4 turn, cycle the starter for a few seconds and repeat until there is a drizzle of...

M7040 shuttle shift difficulty no reverse

Thanks for the info, BNPT? British? how random! I found the linkages for the shuttle under the tractor between the trans and fuel tank and wow, they're frail looking! Anyhow, with someone moving the lever the reverse didn't seem to have the same throw as forward, just 1mm shy or so...

M7040 shuttle shift difficulty no reverse

A call to the dealer suggested to check the linkages on the f-n-r lever for proper travel, now I did see here that there is a pressure requirement for the servo for each, does anyone have a pic or a good pointer to where the test port locations are? are they 1/4 npt or a metric?

Kubota engineering really bad screw up

Lands pride mowers have a hidden grease fitting, LP has a small 10 inch long hydraulic hose with a grease fitting on one end that extends the fitting out to an easy to reach area, I'm sure an extension hose is the way to go.

    Hydro hose ??'s

Is the banjo hose leaking around the banjo or in the middle of the line? If you need it pronto and the break is in the middle of the line, find a hydraulic shop or someplace like NAPA that makes lines, or the dealer and have them cut the line and put two fittings where the break is, like a...

    Kubota 2550 no starting...

Indeed, give your fuel filter a good eye before you change it, fluid should be clear/amber and the filter material shouldn't be black, look for water in the bottom too. Air drain screw on the top of the filter housing, bleed out all the air before trying to start. . hoping its not your fuel pump.

M7040 shuttle shift difficulty no reverse

Thanks to all the folks with the great information, have been reading for a long time but finally have a question that I couldn't find a solid answer to. I'm working on a big orange M7040, the tractor has a few operators and now has an issue. Tractor has 1200 hours and all fluids supplied by...
