Working on a M7040 and adding a hydraulic rear blade, the tractor has one rear remote and spots for two more levers. Not to suggest that Kubota's parts are not worth the cash but close to 800 for each remote kit is a little steep! Are all M series rear remote valves the same? assuming detent or self centering spools. It looks like a pretty simple block with a 3 bolt attachment and o-rings. I'd like to keep the factory look intact so going with a cross valve would be out.

thanks in advance!

Unless they have made some changes I think they valves are the same aside from function. They must have really had a price increase since I bought mine. My dealer installed extra remotes for $500 each but that was a few yrs ago.

A little off topic but related...I would like to see someone with rear remotes on a L3400 post a photo of the hydraulic setup.

Well, most of the dealers I've called list $ 600+ for each remote and $125 for the handles/controls hopefully can find a dealer who will deal but it might be set by Kubota.

If you have a kind Kubota dealer, I think that you should be able to get 10-15% off of those list prices. It sure won't hurt to ask. ;)

Oh, since you are getting these for grading purposes, I highly recommend that you get the next 2 with the float function. Many times using the float function will make your finish grading-smoothing come out much nicer.

That's a little better than around here. I just bought an MX5100 and they charged me $800 for one rear remote. I shopped two other Dealers and had them price the tractor to my specs and both of them also wanted $800.

My dealer charged me a whopping $500 for giving me a rear hookup. Essentially it was a couple of long hoses in the FEL return line, with quick disconnects on them. I picked up the pictured valve at Big R for $99, a couple of quick disconnect sets at about $45 ea, and some hose. I could have gone to a dual valve, but I am worried about fitting my backhoe in there.

Picked up a pair of valves 2610 for the M40, found out the bolts for attaching the valve stack to the tractor come with the handle kits! :) All set and ready to rock now.

Don't know if you are still using this site but do you mind if I ask you a few questions about your M7040. I just got one and would like a opinion from a owner that has had theirs for a while?

Most certainly, we (sportsmens club) use ours on the far heavy side of a typical user, sometimes a tank of fuel barely lasts a day.

Ask away. (sorry for the late reply, ott binned the message outside the active thread window)

I have a M7040 also. I had 3 rear remotes put on when I got it . I have found that I get back this money back when I trade with factory equipment on them. It is well spent!!!

Good at least that the remotes also hold value well!
