Love my new tratcor, but HATE the belly mower!

Never is a long time, but I'm in the same boat. Last year I agonized over side vs. rear discharge. Starting about 23 years ago I've only had side discharge. All three were 60". The first was a belly mower and the next two were RFM's. When the bigger tractor came home it begged for a wider...

    Used Kubota Tractor Advice

I used a 5' rotary cutter on a B7500 I had and it was only OK for light work. It was too much mower for that tractor but worked for the limited amount of cutting I was doing atthe time. There are others here with lots of experience with rotary cutters, but I'd think you want at least 30 HP and...

Which to Buy: B3200 or L3200/3800

Welcome aboard! I don't feel like my L3200 is overkill on my 3-1/2 acres. Heck, I use it to do the widow lady's 1/2 acre across the road. I had a B7500 for 10 years and often thought it needed a few more horses, or should weigh more, or had larger FEL capacity. The L3200 handles the 6' RFM...

    Another Intro Thread...

Welcome! You'll love the L3200. Until we settled on a lot next door last winter, we had a tad over 2 acres. Still don't have a large piece of land like some here, but the L3200 would have been just fine even with the original property. I use mine to mow the neighbor's 1/2 acre and it does a...

I like that. Mine was a quickie fix when I was "mining topsoil" near the creek last summer.

    Bucket level indicator

I made one from stuff I had in the garage. There is a knuckle type fitting from an air damper that I put on the bucket bracket, a piece of cad plated round stock, an eye bolt and a short piece of clear 1/2" Sch 40 plastic pipe. On the top view you can see the threaded part of the eye bolt...

    Which Kubota to buy?

My property and activities are considerably less than you are into. For 10 years my B7500 served well but frequently came up short on weight or horses. Went with an L3200 last year and what a difference it made! Mine - HST/FEL R4's - cost a few grand less than the B3300SU you are looking at.

    Fuel Consumption L series

I'm 6'-4" and just last week made the scale read 274# when I stepped on it. I love my L3200. There's more adjustment for the seat than I need. It is very comfortable to operate and nimble. I have a 6' Landpride RFM and cover some pretty uneven terrain without scalping. The wheels are not...

Pressure on hydraulic lines from FEL.

My FEL is only on when I want to use it. That means it is on and off very frequently. Almost without exception the loader gets dropped in the shed and I park the tractor right at the loader so the hoses reach and can be connected before even starting the engine. I mention that because of the...

Problems with Land Pride PTO hook-up

I should go look to make sure, but I could swear I pull the ring back to release the balls.

    Placement of Hooks on Bucket

Can't say that it isn't a valid concern. I did use the B7500 to lift anything the hydraulics would handle. That included the rear of the tractor when I brought a bush hog home on a trailer. The bucket on the L3200 seems pretty sturdy and the load is spread over an area at least as large as...

    Placement of Hooks on Bucket

I took a different approach to hooking the chain. Instead of hooks, I took some pieces of angle that sit against the back edge of the bucket top and cut slots for the chain. They are a simple bolt-on install. For the slots I drilled holes in the angle at the top edge of the bucket and cut in...

    remote sticking in float position

I had that problem with the FEL control on my B7500. It was difficult to fix because I don't have six tiny hands. I had it parked outside for period when I was working on the shed and apparently rain managed to get into the mechanical workings of the joystick. Inside there was a part that...

    L3200 vs L3800

When something works for me I stick with it. Any of the tractors I've had would do the job of basic mowing and snow removal. Mowing is pretty much a constant. Some summers have prolonged dry spells that eliminate several weeks of mowing. Snow removal can be feast or famine here. First...
